KidBro Verified Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Does anyone know how many innings they're going to play today? http://www.autoworksmn.com/Files/Images/blog/dumbfounded-resized-600.pngY Yes???
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 I'm expecting the rain to make a bullpen appearance today and shut down the Brewers.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 The strikezoid is back for a 2nd engagement in this series.
Blake Verified Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 I just rolled it back to look at it again. Dozier was hustling out and was going to get to the ball and Sano saw that. However... The Ball wasn't high enough off the wall to be a guaranteed hit with most RF's. Santana looked a little disappointed with the level of D supporting him. With that said... I still have no problem with Sano playing RF. Yeah, it looked to me like Sano didn't hustle because Dozier went out to back him up. Like you, I think Sano needs to be given a chance to perform.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Escobar hurt Hey Polanco... It's show time.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Escobar staying in the game Polanco doesn't appreciate that kind of teasing.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 I'd love to see Polanco, but not like this.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 What is it with this franchise and not being able to do anything with the bases loaded?
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Would be a great time for the kid's 1st HR wouldn't it!
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Shifting makes sense but... you still have to be able to functional with the fundementals of baseball. You shouldn't sacrifice a DP opp for shifting.
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Nunez was limping some, too. Are we getting close to the point where Sano is moved to 3B?
Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Nunez was limping some, too. Are we getting close to the point where Sano is moved to 3B?I'll consult the birds and get back to you.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Shifting makes sense but... you still have to be able to functional with the fundementals of baseball. You shouldn't sacrifice a DP opp for shifting. The Brewers have confused me in these first 2 innings... --The baserunning by Walsh on the double off the wall in right was terrible. He should be halfway and then easily scored when the 2nd baseman goes out to field the carom.--How the baserunner from 3rd doesn't score on a routine double play ball is very odd. Luckily for them, they got both of those guys in.--And then like you say with the shift, they let the Park ball get through and then give the Twins a run and should have given them a 2nd run because they sacrifice a DP situation. I mean, is the kid from "Little Big League" managing today?
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 I'm ok with playing the long game, I don't need to lead wire-to-wire... But that doesn't mean we SHOULDN'T do it every now and then.
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 We're leaving to many on base. This could still be a high scoring game though as both pitchers are off today.

KidBro Verified Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 That was a rather brief rally..... I knew we'd get them in the 2nd..... oh wait, bases full of Twins, zero outs, and we only got 1 run again? Well, it's tied at least.... right where we want them.

Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Cory and Danny talking about how interleague play is spread throughout the season, instead of being at specific times of the year--despite the fact Provus specifically mentioned that there are 15 teams in each league, they seem incapable of making the connection as to why at least 2 teams must always be doing interleague play.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 This has been one of the worst pitched games collectively... that I've seen... in quite some time.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 yeah, Santana clearly doesn't have it today. Let's see some good old fashioned grit to keep us in the game.
big dog Verified Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Yeah, this definitely has a 12-9 kind of feel to it.

Aren't we doing three and five team Round Robins yet? We should definitely look into doing that.
big dog Verified Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 OK, I'm going to be the worst jinx in recent memory here, but I think Nunez has not only hit well in the recent games, he's also made some nice fielding plays. I will now wait for a throw to Dan Gladden.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Following the game on MLB today. I think the Twins could improve their chances of winning if they get some base runners. /snark

I've seen nothing but capable defensive play since he's been with us.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Danny says you need 1000 AB's from a player to tell what kind of player he's going to be...or grow into. Which is it Danny?
