sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Boyer's an assasin. Indeed. A 1-2-3 inning.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 I guess I'm searching for a reason why you would start Hughes, when the best you can hope for is 3-4 innings, virtually assuring mulitple innings from the soft underbelly of the pen. I know you have extra relievers out there, but none I really wanna see. Find a way to get Hughes close to ready before you throw him into an important late season game. He didn't look anything close to ready anyway...topped out at 90-91 from what I saw.Concur, I've been scratching my head about it all night. Game 2 of a stretch of 7 in a row, including 4 very pivotal games with the Angels and we need a deliberate short start to expose the pen? I know there's extra arms but what am I missing?
Gibby Provisional Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 I'd gladly ftfy but as a moderator I have to uphold a certain standard I saw the anagram right away.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 in play, run(s) please.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Here we go...time for Twins Baseball!
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Geez, that is not a double for most people, let alone a stand up double.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 in play, run(s) please. Patience... Buxton on second after a dribbler gets by 3rd base.

David HK Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Hey--- rally, maybe--- OK, Dozey, I know a 3-run dinger would be awesome, but please, please, don't be TRYING so hard to hit one.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Standing up.............wow. I get the sense Buck is starting to figure things out, he's putting the ball in play far more.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Dozier has got to snap out of this eventually. He did the same thing in the 2nd half last year. He may need a day off or two.
David HK Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Geez, what the heck, Simon. I lived in Chi in the 90's, right next to Wrigley. Used to see Steve Trachsel pitch 3 1/2 hour games like that. That's horrible baseball. I guess it worked in Dozy's case. He must have fallen asleep between pitches.
James Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 I'm more excited about this game than I was before

twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 I'm more excited about this game than I was beforeBeer is good that way.
David HK Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Yep. Fork time for Dozier, just like last year. His post-All Star splits must be horrible.
drock2190 Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Something positive please!

David HK Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 See Dozey? That's what you do with Loons on the pond. Ya don't have to hit a 6-run homer every time. Good job once again by that strong young man! Now, come on, Poof!
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Double Play PLOUFFEThey killed Kenny! The bastards!
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Double Play PLOUFFE Only 1 more to tie Killer, if i recall what previous announcers have said? Then he'll be able to focus on other things...
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 God damn Plouffe had to be better than that.
Jham Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Was I really defending Plouffe on the "trade Plouffe" thread? Rethinking.
