I'll spice it up a bit and then maybe the Twins will listen. ****ity **** **** ****. I think it's lyrics to a song or something...Like ****ity ****ity ***.<casts severe glance SSo1's way> Does that even remotely resemble what I said?

twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 CFL fan?All my life, and College. My local CFL team is pretty awful these days as well so I have no room to talk. Grey Cup is in Winnipeg this year but the Bombers are a long, long shot at this point. Although in a 9 team loop, it doesn't take much. I'm a long time fantasy football participant but for some reason the NFL doesn't grab me as a viewer. I'll probably take in a game once the new stadium is finished though, I've seen a bunch at the Dome. Off to TCF to see the Gophers this weekend.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Er... 2 outs... Um... Dozier's got this. Yeah.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Did gamecast have that right? Did Santana just pinch hit for Buxton? Buxton was hitting so well tonight, too! Why have Santana flail at the plate?
rghrbek Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Yes Santana pinch hit for buxton. Why Vargas did not pinch hit is beyond me. If Vargas gets on, then you can pinch run Santana. Perplexing.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Um... Well done, Dozier. Er... Mauer's got this now.

formerly33 Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Mauer Power. Just think ... if they hadn't scored that last run ... dammit.
rghrbek Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Haha, my bad! Been flipping back and forth, thanks for the correction Scrap. Big hit by Mauer
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 I will put up with a little free baseball tonight. Proceed.

gil4 Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Did gamecast have that right? Did Santana just pinch hit for Buxton? He pinch-something'd. "Hit" wasn't the word that came to mind.
David HK Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Wow- I don't want to be a jinx, but it seems Old Joe Mauer has rejoined the Twins lately.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 . Off to TCF to see the Gophers this weekend. I'll be there on Sunday. Hope the Purple got the wake-up call.

David HK Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Argh. No chicken dinnah. PBJ, I guess.

twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Bombers were OK back in the Dieter days.It took getting rid of Dieter to win their first Grey Cup in 24 years. The year after they traded him for Tommy Clements, they won the cup, against Brock and the Ti-Cats. And by Dieter I'm sure you mean Ralph, as he'll always be known to me.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Bummer that the kid couldn't come up with another hit, but seeing him bat as the cleanup hitter with the game on the line and the team in the playoff hunt with two weeks to go is waaaay more than I expected from either him or the team for most of the season.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 I'll be there on Sunday. Hope the Purple got the wake-up call.Where ya sitting? I'll be at B1G for about 9:00-9:30 for an opening Bloody Mary.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Where ya sitting? I'll be at B1G for about 9:00-9:30 for an opening Bloody Mary. About the 20 in the closed end. I hope the bars in Dinkeytown have gotten their **** together. Last year, you were lucky to get a beer in an hour.
