A double play is a little Boyer D

We need Gary "Shef" Sheffield to come out of retirement just for this one play.

I remember when I drove into California for the first time. I remember thinking to myself... I can see why this place catches on fire a lot.

I lived in the SF Bay area during grad school.  The first year it rained a lot, everything was lush, and I thought I had landed in Eden.  Then it didn't rain for about 3 years and I felt like I was living in an ashtray.

Oh boy, Boyer time!

I can't bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep  for the bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeepity bleeep bleeep   life of me, figure out  why Molly keeps putting bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeep bleeeeeeepy  Boyer into situations with runners on base.  The guy with the bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeping WORST % of inherited runners scored in the HISTORY OF BASEBALL, (or something).   Again and again and again.  And what happens?

Cripe, have him start an inning, if you really really need to see that effing beard out there.  Please, for the love of God, don't put him in with runners on.

I'll hang up and listen.

Yeah, he had a great downward plane.

I get the sentiment, he's decide to cook up his own trouble tonight however.

When I watch Boyer pitch I feel like I'm watching the Flying Wallendas walk between skyscrapers.  No confidence at all.  Don't we have about 11 rested guys in the pen?

He's trying not to peak before the playoffs.

I'm staying away now.  Every time I check in on the game, something bad happens.

Sorry, cats.  Maybe it's me today.

Wha...?  Already 2-0?

Wha...?  Now it's 3-0?

Wha...?  Now it's 4-1?

Wha...?  Boyer is still pitching for the Twins?

Nope Sorry... The Universe is a powerful thing.

That's okay. Too much responsibility for the likes o' me.

I'm thinking jinxing is like base running. If you get caught off base, if you don't waste time, sometimes you can hustle and get to the next one...

Unfortunately, i think it's more like Calvin ball though...

In a high wind, too.  With lightning strikes about.

What was so bad about Boyer's outing tonight?  Seems like he's been pretty good at getting grounders when he's well rested.  He struggles getting K's.  No one's perfect!

I guess I'm searching for a reason why you would start Hughes, when the best you can hope for is 3-4 innings, virtually assuring mulitple innings from the soft underbelly of the pen.

I know you have extra relievers out there, but none I really wanna see.

Find a way to get Hughes close to ready before you throw him into an important late season game.  He didn't look anything close to ready anyway...topped out at 90-91 from what I saw.
