Hmmmm, that's interesting.  Never seen an in-game interview with a pitcher who was still technically in the game.  Don't have the volume up since I'm at work but he looked like he had some pressure lifted off his shoulders.

You are not the only one who thought that was strange...............

Man, Ervin Santana really fought hard to get that last out. Bravo. Ice pack and Miller time, baby.

I think he deserves better than Miller.

That might have been the flattest home run I've seen by a Twin since Shane Mack hit one in old Tigers Stadium during his stellar 1992 season that leveled off at a cruising altitude of about 20 feet.

That was a poor match-up for Houston. An old lefty with not much on the ball, versus Miguel Sano, one of the most powerful young rightie bats in the last 20 years.

A few random thoughts:

E-San has impeccable style. He should never even consider cutting off his hair, at least as long as he's on the Twins.

I see I'm not the only one whose eyes started out like a crab's and whose eyebrows were elevated to the ceiling during that interview.

I can never begin to understand why teams don't play deeper for Sano. Like, 100 feet deeper.

You let your hair grow as long as you like, Mr. Santana. :)

Was there a question about his hair that I missed? I love his hair.

Yeah, basically said the drills Allen had him do really helped. And corrected the interviewer by saying the game wasn't won yet. Kudos for immediately reversing the sure curse of counting wins before they're won.

I agree, I just couldn't think of a local IPA that fit the thought. Have an Arrogant Bastard? A heffenwiezen?

Of course, the BP stil has 2 innings.

One minute it's a simple search and rescue mission, and the next, it's...

one of those home runs the third baseman or shortstop makes a token leap for, but it never spins back down to earth, yeah it was one of those. :) the Pohlads can afford to replace a row of damaged seats out in the left field bleachers.

Minus the drama, it was a little reminiscent of Puckett/Leibrandt Game 6 1991.
