Circus Boy Verified Member Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 9 lefties for the Yanks today. That's why no A rod. Lefties BA vs Gibson: .226. Righties: .275. Strange logic by Yanks.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Nunez helmet came off enroute to first, but it was for naught...Wonder if he's excited for the game? He better be... Not because of the Yankees... But because he doesn't play everyday and he'd like to. If I was Nunez... Anytime I was penciled into the starting lineup. I'd be out of my skin in excitement. Of course... At my age... I get excited when people ask me to do anything that doesn't require lifting furniture.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 I think the most disappointing part of Santana's 2015 has been his routine boots. If Santana could just field the position... I wouldn't worry about the batting average as much. Ultimately... With Plouffe and Sano handling 3B for awhile and Dozier and Mauer locked in for awhile. I think the Twins could afford to think about an elite glove at SS. Santana could be that guy but he's not being that guy right now.
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Poof lucks out, look what I've got. He hates balls hit at him.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Poof lucks out, look what I've got. He hates balls hit at him. Me, too.
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 It's just a matter of time before the yanks plate some of these runners. So far so good though.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Me, too. I think the comma has me confused... Poof hates balls hit a you?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 I think the comma has me confused...Poof hates balls hit a you? I find commas confusing as well... So I've decided to never use them.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 See That Didi... Can play D... Just like I said. Jeez
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Hicks goes to third on Dozier's single, and Dozier follows his example as the throw goes to third. Some nice base running yields second and third with one out.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 I think the comma has me confused...Poof hates balls hit a you?Have a beer, and all will be clear.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 See That Didi... Can play D... Just like I said. Jeez So... which other Yankees impress ya with their defense?
spinowner Provisional Member Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Good call by Molitor having Hicks running.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 good time for #2 MauerIntentional unintentional walk coming.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Intentional unintentional walk coming.Or not.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Ellsbury can cover some ground... 1-0 after 3, eh CBU?
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 I find commas confusing as well... So I've decided to never use them. So this is why you always use ellipses?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 So... which other Yankees impress ya with their defense? In all seriousness... Gardner and Ellsbury can play and after that... Headley can be solid but not spectacular. Drew is OK at a new position but it's not like there is anyone I would call elite. In the Jinx context that I believe you are looking for... Let's pick an OF so we get more bang for our buck. I think BELTRAN IS AMAZING.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 So this is why you always use ellipses? Yep... That and the fact that one period... is just not enough... to stop me.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 He better be... I still feel strange that people don't ask me to move furniture so often for the past decade... Ever since most of my college friends moved out of town, no one else remembers i like moving heavy things. But yeah, excitement should come with the job, as it were.
DiscGolfer Verified Member Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Royals looking pretty good now with Cueto
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Of course... At my age... I get excited when people ask me to do anything that doesn't require lifting furniture. You can say that again. I mean, Can you say that again?
DiscGolfer Verified Member Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Twins gonna make a move with the off day tomorrow or wait til last minute?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Did Gibson just throw a "shut down" inning?
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 I love how pitchers are being careful with Sano. It's good for Sano's development. It's mind boggling©, but in a very good way
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Let's pick an OF so we get more bang for our buck. I think BELTRAN IS AMAZING. He did pretty good catching Hicks' sac fly on Friday, if my memory serves... Not too hard, but still it coulda made it over his he hadn't been on it.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Royals looking pretty good now with Cueto It cost the Royals their #4 ranked Prospect. Finnigan... A guy who may replace Chapman as closer if they move Chapman. But all in all... It's not like Royals gave the shirt off their backs. The Twins should be able to get something decent done without killing the farm.
