I Believe in Stephen Vogt

Well, 30 yrs old, but relatively low mileage over the past 3 years.

I guess I don't get this.  Does NCAA and MILB mileage somehow wear you down less than MLB mileage?  Was he hurt and missed entire seasons?

Considering the pitchers are worse, I'd assume MiLB catchers have to squat for more pitches per game and try to block more balls in the dirt.

The Norris idea is growing on me, he's still young. I'd start by seeing if Kohl Stewart still has any trade value.

I think after last night's game, the Twins might be able to trade Plouffe for Vogt straight up, if not, might just have to give up Meyer or Danny Santana along with Plouffe.

I am no fan of the San Diego GM overall, but I wish TR had been so "stupid" and "ill-advised" to snag Norris this past offseason...

You know what I meant.  I think the Norris deal was the one smart move he made in a sea of stupidity.  Time to see if we can get him to revert to his stupidity again.

He's the ideal target.

LOL, I can't find the original post to find who that catcher was.  Anyway....

What I do remember is I looked up the number of innings he has played in recent years.  It was very low.

Any movement on Hicks would be purposeful for Hicks. He still ahs anotehr year before arbitration, and the best he can hope for in Minnesota is that Buxton or Rosario tanks, or Arcia becomes a DH, potherwise he is the backup. He will get the time. It is a tough question. And if a team is building for the future, they still have some control (as well as options) on Hicks, and the Twins do have a surplus of possible dynamtie relief pitchers, although if I was Beane or another general manager I would be asking about Gonsalves, Hu and a few others (while if I was the Twins I would dangle Baxendale or Wimmers).

I believe that Stephen Vogt will cool down considerably this half. He is not used to this kind of playing so his play will level off. Already has to some extent.

I'd be more interested in Padres Derek Norris. Besides sharing the same first name, I feel he could benefit from a move from that park much like Grandal did.

Maybe add Berrios too.

I'm all for upgrading C, but not if it means we have to overpay. We don't need an All-Star, just someone who won't allow a conga line around the bases and can hit .250-.260.
