jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Rosario has looked foolish so far against Jimenez. Time to narrow that zone. Come on Eddie...
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 8, 2015 Author Posted July 8, 2015 Well ... poop again ... lotta pooping going on.
wxman91 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Damn, little grounder to 1st. Twins 0-10 with RISP.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 How do you swing and miss 3-0?
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 7 hits and 3 walks in 5 innings.......0 runs
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Jimenez keeps making pitches when he needs to make pitches. That 3-0 pitch to Rosario was unhittable.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Eddie Rosario, Rally Killer.Bummer.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 How do you swing and miss 3-0?The pitch was filthy. Bottom dropped out at the plate.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Damn. Jimenez has done a fine job walking the tightrope today. Stranded about what, 40 guys?
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Damn. Jimenez has done a fine job walking the tightrope today. Stranded about what, 40 guys?At least 40, maybe 50.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 I kind of feel like having a Denny Green style rant about this - Ubaldo Jimenez is who we thought he was! We're letting him off the hook!
clank2000 Provisional Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 The pitch was filthy. Bottom dropped out at the plate. OK, and why was he swinging when a 2 for 2 guy was coming up?
wxman91 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Rosario 7 LOB through 5. You don't see that very often.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Milone deserves a little run support here - c'mon Twins!
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 OK, and why was he swinging when a 2 for 2 guy was coming up?Well, the pitch was a strike either way. It looked dead red in the center of the plate and then skimmed the bottom of the strike zone. Swinging was the right decision.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 OK, and why was he swinging when a 2 for 2 guy was coming up? Do you really think he was thinking "this pitch looks good but I better not swing because Aaron Hicks is 2-2 and hitting after me"?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 OK, enjoyed it folks. bring home a "winnah" for me. All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go. The taxi's waitin', blowin' his horn. I'm leaving on a jet plane. Don't know when I'll be back again. Oh VodkaDave, I hate to go.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Moar gold glove fielding by the Twins' new star third baseman, Miguel Sano. Is it too soon to predict a galactic quasar award?
clank2000 Provisional Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Fryer - 1.167 OPS. Can a long-term extension be far away?
wxman91 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Damn, nice little play by Hardy going back on a busted bat bloop by Santana.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Time to bring up Polanco and let him play shortstop. Please.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 How do you swing and miss 3-0? Greg Gagne used to teach this at his baseball camp, based on his experience from the one time he went 3-0 in his career...
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 He's 7-9 in SB attempts now this year, not too bad. I know, he's actually pretty good at it. I was teaching young boys about stealing bases a couple summers ago. It's all about timing the pitcher. Even the fairly slow kids can grab a base with the right timing, up until about sixth grade, and that includes stealing 3rd and home. So many pitches hit the backstop... it's great! BTW, one thing I really like about Hicks is that he actually does what I teach the kids, which is to always do three skips towards the next base, landing the third skip just as the ball gets to the catcher. If he drops it, you keep going. Works every time in kid ball.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Fryer - 1.167 OPS. Can a long-term extension be far away?Beat me to it. Will 4/40 get it done?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 8, 2015 Author Posted July 8, 2015 I'm leaving on a jet plane. Don't know when I'll be back again. Oh VodkaDave, I hate to go. Post. Of. The. Day. Lol!
