Circus Boy Verified Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Every team goes through funks. This is ours. (Cue Bootsy Collins: "We got the funk....") Dang. I want to win again.
stocker08 Verified Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Every team goes through funks. This is ours. (Cue Bootsy Collins: "We got the funk....") Dang. I want to win again. I'm praying that this is just a funk. But in all honesty.....we've been hitting the ball well with RISP and the pitching staff has exceeded expectations. Either one falls through.....and we are back to being a poor team. Just so happens that BOTH of those things happened at once. This team is pitiful right now.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Shortstops in the outfield....sounds like a movie title. How'd you do that twice? Cool.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Shortstops in the outfield....sounds like a movie title. Would that be a long stop, or a tall stop?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 I'm almost more sad they didn't turn a double play than that they let in 5 more runs. It'd be cool to have a double play per inning. Especially if we had 9 double plays without going to extras.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Would that be a long stop, or a tall stop?Hope it comes to a full stop.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 How'd you do that twice? Cool.I keep muttering it so that's how it came out.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Our bullpen is so bad, I think I actually miss Anthony Swarzak. No, seriously. We need a long reliever (among many other bullpen needs).
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Hope it comes to a full stop. Then we can stand up? Or was it put our arms out the window? I forget. Anyway, for those into this sort of thing... CBU Texas ahead, many-3. But only like, halfway through the game.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Meanwhile, Sam has freed Frodo from the Orcs in Minas Morgul, and they proceed into Mordor. This is a LOTR update, somewhere in the late innings.

Blake Verified Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Nothing like "one of those games" coupled with the proverbial "June Swoon." Come on July!!!
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 We need a long reliever....You maybe. Me, I need a pain reliever.
Kwak Verified Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Well, once in Texas has shown: " When it rains, it pours--then it floods".
stocker08 Verified Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Buxton on his way up!!??! Sweet..........
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 I'm going to make a bold call- Byron Buxton will be called up after today's game. The heck with his readiness... the team is ready for him.good call.
Hrbowski Verified Member Posted June 13, 2015 Author Posted June 13, 2015 BUXTON BABY!!!!!!! HE IS ON HIS WAY!!!!!

Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 This is going to change my Jurassic World plans.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Frodo lives! But Buxton hits more triples. I expect Frodo draws more walks. And that ring might make stealing bases a little bit easier? I guess that'd might make it to a rule committee. If the batter goes invisible on his way to the plate, how do you know he didn't beat out the throw?

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Umpire discretion. I figured it out. Ring wraiths as umpires... Maybe not. That could end very badly... Anyone out their have insight on the rain delay? Too lazy to look at a weather radar...
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Nevermind about the weather. Game's back on. 3 fewer outs for the Twins to come back from an 8 run deficit. Regarding Buxton, the Stauffer DFA freed up the 40 man space, i assume? And we're still wondering where the 25 man space will come from? If Hicks is injured, that's probably it, but could be other moves too? 25 is a pretty good number...
Hrbowski Verified Member Posted June 13, 2015 Author Posted June 13, 2015 Thompson looked pretty good out there.
