Well, I think that she moved to ChiTown the same year we invented what is now commonly known as the Wild, so you can hardly blame her.

 

She still had the option of living in denial and remaining a North Stars fan like I did.  I even kept my 2nd team, too - the Whalers.  When my teams are on, I watch.  When they aren't, I usually don't.

I think there is just the belief that it works better that way, because once the game starts, no more reading Twins Daily in the dugout.

I actually live closer to the home of the franchise than I ever have in my life (I'm in OK, about 4 hours away.  I moved from MN to CT about 4 years before the 1969 NHL expansion). When I was younger I liked teams from MN because I was from MN.  Now I like the teams I've always liked and don't care about the rest.
