A sick Royals fan in Missouri's mom gets up from the computer with Safari open and private browsing turned off. The kid isn't supposed to be going on the computer, but they run over and instead of opening a new tab and creating history on mlb.com, they open the ESPN widget and first thing they see is Kansas City losing 5-3 and they click on it and see "Bases loaded, 0 outs" and cry.

I think a run an inning is pretty good.

 

It's nice to see the opposing pitcher's line start with 3+ innings instead of the Twins' starter being knocked out in the 4th.

Milone's thrown a lot of pitches and has been getting in hot water quite a bit, maybe he can buy himself another inning with some quick work here. The team could sure use him...

Well - that was a mixed blessing.... I'd rather have Escobar at 2nd instead of Dyson... not that it makes a big difference, but it is a game of inches.

Vargas couldn't dig out Santana's relay to complete an inning ending double play.

 

Runner at second with two outs, as the ball skips out of play.

 

Stuaffer shouldn't accrue any earned runs for this outing. I think. (I guess he is responsible for the runner at second, as double plays aren't supposed to be assumed...)

It was a defensive move - Stauffer showed better stuff in the ground ball drills compared to Milone.

I think both teams should feel lucky that the game is still close AND feel like they've blown some pretty big opportunities to take control.
