Obviously a road game with this lineup. Let's see if Vargas can match Sano yesterday

Yeah. I thought there was a rule about away games needing to have so many starters along, but I don't remember exactly what that was.

We're facing Dickey to start. When the second wave of players enter, can we hope to see Colabello or Albers?(Who else am i forgetting?)

Tolleson, Valencia

I believe that it is 3 or 4 and the rule is regulars from last year or planned regulars for this year.  Technically they do have 3 "regulars" in the lineup (Hicks, Escobar and Vargas).  Fryer could be counted as well since he was with the club most of last year even though he is a bench player.

Did Andrew Albers just strikeout Buxton?

Yeah.  That just happened.

So Sano, Vargas and Rosario have gone deep in the past two games.  That bodes well for the future, eh?

It bodes well they all seem healthy.

Hicks left the game early for not paying attention To the number of outs. Not good.

At least he didn't catch a fly ball and thinking it was the third out, throw it into the stands allowing runners on base to advance. Thank you, Milton Bradley.

I was in attendance today, and left just giddy about our youngsters!  Buxton went first-to-third on a liner to left center so quickly that he was blurry to the naked eye (pretty sure that wasn't alcohol related).  Vargas' HR was 415 feet into a strong wind  that was just eating the ball up.  Rosario had a nice shot too.  JR Graham was lights out.  The stadium radar gun had his fastball no slower than 95 and once hit 98.  With his off-speed stuff coming in between 82 and 85, the hitters had no chance.  Sure hope the Twins find a spot on the 25-man for that Rule 5 steal!  Comment about Hicks' base running mistake is accurate, but he also had an outfield assist from right center to third base that was highlight reel.

That is because the Twins do things the right way (except for not knowing the number of outs).

You realize that he did this while playing with the Cubs, and the opponent that game were the Twins. I remember it well.

Nope. Was just listening. Will be at the games tomorrow and Thursday.

I do remember that - it was fantastic moment of cluelessness combined with arrogance if I remember correctly

and luckily in the day of youtube -- here it is (2009 seems like a long time ago):

Thanks for the first hand highlights.  This is shaping up as maybe the most significant and exciting ST in terms of portent for things to come, in many, many years.

Wow. Encouraging reports and box scores. Even Buxton getting 2 BBs is nice. Definitely an unusual year for Twins fans to have a 'legitimate prospect' challenging for so many positions on the roster. I doubt many of them will stay for Super-2, etc reasons, but to the point where we might have a 'rookie' outplaying a veteran in many spots is promising. And that doesn't factor in the youth, but not 'rookie status' of guys like Vargas, Santana, Arcia, Gibson, and Pinto.

Buxton, Sano, Rosario, Meyer, Berrios, and Graham...4-5 of those guys could conceivably be playing well enough to 'merit' (not get) a roster spot on OD.
