LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 A viola? Yeah, you are an idiot. You're not even going to ask whether it was in the case or not?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Does Detroit have the better head to head record then? (I didn't check)Yep... And that's where KC has to look at themselves in the mirror.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Sorry to be late or nonexistent in recent games. Travel (taking care of mom in Nebraska), death (one in 70s, another 8 years old, both cancer, and my favorite coach from college, too), and the end of a career (Jeter hit an RBI double in the 1st). At the end of the each baseball season, the melancholy gets harder to shake. Most of the time I always knew there'd be another year, something to hope for. Now I hear footsteps. Time's catching up. Gonna have a Grain Belt. Make it all better.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 25, 2014 Author Posted September 25, 2014 You're not even going to ask whether it was in the case or not?Not necessary. In the case or not, if you have a viola, that is all I need to know.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 On a lighter note, is Gardy still growing the full beard? I hear he won't shave until his team is eliminated from the playoffs.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 25, 2014 Author Posted September 25, 2014 What is everyone's highlight of the season?
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Not necessary. In the case or not, if you have a viola, that is all I need to know.No sweet music for you.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 You're not even going to ask whether it was in the case or not?I read that too quick... I thought it said... Whether it was the case or not. Anyway... Always put your Viola in the case... Just in case.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 When I watch Scherzer pitch. I've always thought he was good at disrupting timing. He holds the ball an extra beat before throwing. Forcing the batter to stay in stance for an uncomfortable amount of time.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Hey Now... He's gotta get the door open. The suspense of what brian's going to say with his 10,000th post is almost unbearable...

No apology necessary, though it's always good to see you posting here. Sorry for losses and tough time you're having. But you've endured four years of really bad baseball, so you owe it to yourself to stick around and enjoy the many good ones to come. Welcome back!
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 What is everyone's highlight of the season?Being torched by the sun, sucked of my life force by the humidity, watchin' a game from the LF bleachers with some cool cats at Target Field in late August. Other than that - it has to be Hughes' overall season.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 My highlight was Bark's Rally Rhino and Rabbit. Inspirational.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Hughesie banked more good will and marketability with that interview. It almost comes as a shock now when an athlete exceeds your expectation for being a good guy, rather than falling short as has happened so often, especially recently.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 The suspense of what brian's going to say with his 10,000th post is almost unbearable...Wow... Your right... I'm getting close... I didn't notice. Let there be no doubt... This makes me the biggest loudmouth on TD
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Dozier's 20/20, Vargas' triple, the Hughes record. Highlights all.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 We strikeout too much... Our offense is decent but it would decent-er with less K's.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Why is it that the likelihood of a pitchtrax location being shown on a pitch is inversely proportional to how controversial it is? Wow. May with the stewardess curveball to deep left Flint.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Mariners won to stay alive... Royals and Tigers winning to keep them dead.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 My highlight was Bark's Rally Rhino and Rabbit. Inspirational.Circus Boy, my friend, you have warmed my heart and made the grand failure of the Rally Rhino and Comeback Bunny a worthwhile venture. They never won us a game, but maybe they brought us some... um, some... something, I am not too sure? I dedicate my final Rally Rhino and Comeback Bunny to you Circus Boy.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Before the season ends, RB, will you say one more nice thing about the rubber band for us? Thanks, HBD.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Due to pitch counts, May could probably pitch 8 innings and Scherzer will probably be done after 6. It's funny that even if you pitch well like Scherzer but throw too many pitches, it doesn't matter, you get pulled around 100. Oh well, at least May isn't giving up walks.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Favorite 2014 Twins memories... 1. Finally having a starter in the rotation again who's good enough to have his starts be games worth going out of your way to see, listen to, or gamecast. 2. Briefly crashing the TD server with excessive .giffing. 3. Making it all the way to the final series of the year before confessing that I've been pretending to still like the Twins this whole season just so I could hang out in the game threads. http://media.giphy.com/media/NHfks0jpRJwkw/giphy.gif
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 My highlights--the new kids-Santana and Vargas. I enjoyed the progress of Plouffe and Dozyier. The single play or event was probably Parmelee's walk-off homer in extra innings. I should also add Hughes' season. Pretty special.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Scherzer might not make it out of the fifth if he keeps on giving up sharp contact like this...
