We were under full scale hell and damnation watch for like three days.  Literally, schools cancelled and everything.

 

As of this moment, which is right in the middle of what was forcast to be the worst of it, we've gotten about a quarter inch of drizzle off and on over the past 24 hours.  Right now the sun is breaking through.

That's more exciting than mine, which is that Gardenhire was driving a certain model of Ford from his home town on OK back to UT Austin, it died right in front of a biker bar in a small Texas town, and it all went reeeally downhill from there...

My theory, which is still a work in progress, I admit, as that it all boils down to the difficulty of turning "Josmil" into something which ends in "-see."

Long odds,. but maybe the new manager will have a thing for nicknames based on Lord of the Rings,  and next year we'll see 100 games caught and 500 AB's from ' Josmeagol'.

Made it up there last year for a couple.  All the stadiums are in the Phoenix metro area, and all of them are really nice, they use spring training stadiums and they're all mostly pretty new.

 

I plan on taking in 3 games Oct 9-11, in case anyone's thinking of attending...you might want to avoid those dates.     Of course, Ashburyjohn will be there as well, so you might want to put up with me being there in order to get the benefit of John's witty banter.  Or is it banty witter?
