Common misconception.  Actually it was Bruce.

My cousin Bruce.  We were fishing with my other cousin, Larry (no really), from a gravel road in central Minnesota.  Larry 'caught' Bruce in the neck with a Daredevil, and my grandma drove us at just under the speed of sound in her Pontiac (police interceptor version) Tempest to the closest retired country doctor's lake home.

Bruce semi-fainted and bonked his head a bit, and we agrees on the way that the light that he saw was significant and should be commemorated, even if everything else he saw seemed like pure rubbish at the time.  My panicky Etch-a-sketch recording of his vision is the song classic you know today.

Oh, and Bruce survived the Daredevil strike.  He owns a bowling alley and is a great dad.

I fell for the bait.

The bullpen has been bad. I hope it will cause some turnover next year.

I hope so too, they have not been as good as their era. Plus we've already hitched our Wagon to the starters.

They've been overused.Especially in the Detroit series

This holding them scoreless for 7 or 8 innings is awesome and everything but it has been oddly non-satisfying.

Kinda like having having the best meal of your life and throwing up on your plate before you finish it.

Did we ever get an answer to RB's comeback trivia question?

Nope... The answer is... "Spirit in the Night" and "For You".

Obviously someone owned that album and really liked it.

And And... "Blinded by the Light" by Manfred Mann became Bruce's 1st #1 hit. It was 1977 and Bruce had never reached #1 prior to that.

Phil Hughes wins my "F'ed in the A" award for today. This game has made me very sad. Phil deserved a better outcome than this.

Pretty much. He got the short end of the stick on this game. He pitched really well

Geez...I should've gotten "Spirit in the Night."

As far as I know, the MM cover of "Blinded..." is the only Springsteen song ever to reach #1.

If this pattern continues... The Royals will go nuts in the 7th inning tomorrow.

Is it a day game tomorrow?

I think you are right... I can't recall if Dancing in the Dark reached it. It would have been close if it didn't.
