big dog Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Gardy may have rewarded May, but May definitely did not return the favor. No bloops that inning. Come on Twins- let's put another half-dozen runs on the board next inning. Like usual.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Sigh, just when I got my hopes up, May dashed them.
big dog Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Here we go, leadoff single. Let's Get Some Runs.
mikeee Provisional Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 rats. they lost the lead while I stepped away.
gil4 Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 New Doctor. Score some touchdowns and runs for me. My prediction for the nightcap (no not THAT nightcap): Twins 18, Tigers 5. I know that's going out on a limb Tigers have their 5. We just need two touchdowns now...
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 I said it before and I'll say it again, the Tigers are going nowhere if Miggy isn't right, and I don't think he is right.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Can we please send Burton to somebody for a bucket of BP balls and a couple of splintered bats? The guy is brutal. When May went out there for the 6th, I said, 'he's getting another inning?'. Made too many mistakes up in the zone and any team will feast on that. Still not sure that he's all that everyone has been raving about.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 He is at 83 pitches in the night cap of a double header, I think you have to toss him back out for the 6th,Absolut. Ly. But if it's a highly-touted kid who' s struggled so far in the majors, warm somebody the freak up. Put a little more wear on the BP arms, in exchange for a chance for Mayday to have a good start from both scouting and stats angles. Positive outcome has value.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 I think they should have pulled him after five. Is my hindsight showing?A little, but we were ready. Shades, sunblock etc. For the record, if there is one, wanted May to come out to start the 6th, but have bullpen and State Fair Deep Fried StickofButteronaStick Militia warmed up and ready to go.
mikeee Provisional Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 I was wondering who the Detroit closer was... fergot ..
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Dozier seems to be getting good at putting the ball in play just out of reach of the left fielder. Games not over yet (though who knows if that will still be true when you read it...)
LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Well that was not a strike, any more than it was a boating accident...http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--WE9Gg0XqGo/UCQ2APV-AEI/AAAAAAAAIqk/4ifjKHBtE40/s1600/Jaws-chief-roy-scheider.jpg
