D. Hocking Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Walter White is a mod?No - but some of the mods have been known to be sampling some of Walter's merchandise while posting.
GCTF Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Verlander not immune to the 0-2 hit.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Hey, I didn't notice those pictures being taken!Amazing that just a buck apiece from a few frequent posters can hire a kid to take pictures inside the stadium with his wireless digicam-equipped drone. Better hope he didn't bring spare battery packs to catch the late innings. Also, you have a piece of popcorn in your hair. Left side, just above and behind the ear. And have everyone look toward center field and slightly up at the end of the 7th inning stretch for the flyby group portrait. Have everyone bunch in a bit.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Mauer. Is. Back! 0-2 count and he hits an RBI double. This team is going to be fun to watch the rest of this season and into 2015!
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 A lead? I think i could get used to this!
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Not to state the obvious - but it is too bad Mauer lost those 6 weeks to the oblique. I don't think we would necessarily be play-off bound, but the record might be more mediocre than its current dismal. Plus, I suspect he would be over 300 now, or approaching it.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Verlander not immune to the 0-2 hit.Verlander not immune to many kinds of hits this year. What's up? You're right, though, that was the kind of situation where the old Verlander (who was actually Young Verlander) would leave the Twins shaking their heads.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Another 3 bagger for Santana. I hope he can find his way home.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 The other part of this is that it isn't Josh Willingham and Ryan Doumit getting the big hits. Vargas, Arcia, Santana, Escobar are all here for quite a while and figure to get better overall.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 the old Verlander (who was actually Young Verlander) Funny how that works! Well said. Wait, which one were you talking about? Oh, the one what left us shaking our heads.

Plus, I suspect he would be over 300 now, or approaching it.That's definitely the kind of thing you think of at the end of another lost season. And that's coming from someone who was severely bummed about the position change and downturn in HoF consideration. So I'm just going to hope the time off saved wear and tear for the future, or helped him turn the corner further from the concussion aftermath, heal a wound in his personal life, or just find the missing set of car keys that had plagued his very soul. As long as he's back, it's all good either way.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Another 3 bagger for Santana. I hope he can find his way home. Was going to suggest a mod offer to act as a sober cab, but Santana's probably better off rolling the dice with Uber.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 May qualifies for a win. Does Gardy send him out for the sixth?

DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 May qualifies for a win. Does Gardy send him out for the sixth? He is at 83 pitches in the night cap of a double header, I think you have to toss him back out for the 6th,
LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 May qualifies for a win. Does Gardy send him out for the sixth?Good question. PC is only 83, Lions bullpen crushed by Vikings this series making a nailbiter less likely. But zero walks is probably the most compelling reason Gardy rewards Mayday with a 6th for eating his vegetables and doing his PtC homework. Nobody in the pen, with a one run lead and a previously flailing rookie on the mound. Suddenly worried about whether Gardy is giving up on the pennant...
GCTF Verified Member Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 I think they should have pulled him after five. Is my hindsight showing?
