LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 C'mon Gibby... Focus!!!Dammit! For a second that made me hope that the Real Gibby was here.
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Gibson's proving me wrong, I'd better back track in a hurry. We're still up though.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 Dammit! For a second that made me hope that the Real Gibby was here.Where has the real Gibby been? He disappeared around the time the site updated. I hope he didn't get injured in the change over.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 Seriously... Kyle Gibson.... Foe-CUSS.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 Uff Da.. A pitch away from digging out of it and a wild pitch.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Look at you... And all that faCan you re-send that to the TD BBS? Forgot to turn off call waiting and had toturn down a really compelling cold call offer to re-roof my newly re-roofed home.
WLFINN Verified Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Haha anyone else see @CLEGameday "...if you take away the first, Indians have been better team tonight.." wonder how we do that?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Gibson has struck out Bourn Twice... Given him a Bourn Ultimatum!!! Oh my God!!! Was that a bad joke. Bordering on Horrible!!! Then Bourn went and got a double. And scored on a wilde pitch? Alas, it was only a pen-ultimatum... (And i can't say anything about jokes bein' bad without pleading the 5th) Anyway, we still got a run lead. Feels so clingy all of a sudden.
snepp Verified Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Maybe what we need is more Gibson Girl.
pierre75275 Verified Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 I have to vent. I generally try not be a negative nelly but what is about the Twins pitchers that have to give runs back everytime the twins score? I honestly believe that this game was Cleveland's to lose when Gibson gave up Van Gomes HR in the 2nd. I can not remember the last time the twins scored a run or more and the starting pitcher promptly started giving it back. Im tired of watching the Twins offense scratch and claw for runs only to have (it seems to me anyway) the pitchers in give it back immediately. *rant over*

Edit: Clarification about finding it from inside or outside of the cow. Or the intestine.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Gibby and Hawkiconk both disappeared. hawkiconk was going to Okoboji on vacation but I thought he'd be back by now. Didn't Gibby have some overseas trip planned? I have some inkling of a thought but can't get it to gel.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Um, Gibby was having real problems with the redesign. Here's his last post: 30 July 2014 - 07:22 PMI gotta say, this is one clumsy assed reboot of a website. All this stupid **** is supposed to be fixed in the first day or so. And the ones before that were also about problems. Maybe someone should PM him.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 I thought I'd get a nice relaxing game to watch tonight but the Indians have clawed their way back into this damned game.

You're not gunning the DeLorean to 88, are you?"

Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Some people did seem to have a rough few days. Change is hard.Eh, I've been involved in multi-million dollar site launches that went far less smoothly than the TD transition. Yeah, there were bugs... There are ALWAYS bugs. I also have a full time job so it's not like I get to spend an entire day working on the site.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Gibson has been really good with the lead, but not today. Maybe this is the in-between Gibson we haven't seen.

I know, Brock and many of us really appreciate all you do to keep the site up-to-date and working smoothly. It's just sometimes hard to appreciate it when you run into problems. (I've been swearing at Microsoft up and down since Friday when their newest release made everything crash on my computer. I finally have things mostly like I had it but all the little tweaks and preferences I had are still gone. It's hard to be rational about computer problems. sometimes even site changes).
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 With a post like that, I hope the door didn't knock him on his ass on the way out.Gibbys a good guy.... I'm sure he was just frustrated at the time. I remember at work once trying to get my mouse to move and it just sat there. About 2 minutes of nothing... I grabbed a different mouse same thing... Then I tried a third... Same thing. It was frustrating so I picked up my computer screen and threw it into a wall. My boss came in and asked what happened and I explained about the mouses and I called him a cheap ass for not having proper working equipment in the building. Turns out he(My Boss) had taped every mouse in the building... It was April 1st... We all laughed afterwards as I wrote a check for the damages.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 Remind me not to get near you when you are frustrated! It isn't very often... Two things do it. 1. Struggling to get the arrow on my computer pointed at the desired icon.2. Eating a delicious soft brownie and running into a hard nut.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 With a post like that, I hope the door didn't knock him on his ass on the way out. It's completely understandable that you'd feel offended, as even a borderlineLuddite like me can relate on some primitive, invertebrate level that a transition like this one was can be the digital equivalent of moving a single familyhousehold, or for all I know, an entire apartment building, to a new dwelling. That being said, if memory serves (and it often doesn't), Gibby had mentioned suffering fromdepression in a clinical, life-altering sense, and that being part of TD made him feel pretty good. That's not me, a poster with 3(!) double-secret-probationwarnings lecturing a mod, that's just a guy saying we all appreciate TD and the work you guys do, and that I hope Gibby comes back for our sake, if not for his. That's up to him.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 The Twins are getting killed on some pretty pathetic hits tonight.
