He is clearly trying to perfect the "effectively wild" thing that Dick always talks about...

I'm willing to give him a few more starts but his control is problematic. He gotta straighten out before you can even consider him for the future.

He's giving up a heck of a lot of walks for someone you characterize as pitch-to-contact.

Let me rephrase...when did May become a guy who throws 90-92, like the rest of our pitch-to-contact, non K'ing staff?

If we are going to be serious...I will say, this is ridiculous. A professional pitcher should be able to throw a few strikes here and there.

I don't mean to be politically insensitive, but watching Twins sometimes is like watching a botched execution. Not something you want to see, but until they pull the curtain you can't turn away.

Deduno has more control right now.

3rd time thru the batting order. May is his own worst inning. Only 1 93mph pitch, I think.  Whats so special about him ?

Agreed.  You can't have that many walks in your 3 appearances and expect to be considered down the line.  The last walk was somewhat questionable with that last pitch but he's not going to get that call when he's all over the place.  He's pitching just like a AAA pitcher would right now.

Nice job Swarzak!  Let's get some runs here.

If we don't get some runs...Gardy...lit cigarette...kitten...I don't want to think about the implications.

He's teaching the kitten to smoke. He's a nice guy, that's all.

I realize it's scoreless into the 5th, but when did May become a 90-92 MPH pitch-to-contact guy?

Hmm.  Throwing out possibilities.

1.  When Rick Anderson went 'Emporer turns Anakin Skywalker' on him.

2.  When the Twins training/ medical staff didn't treat the golf ball wart on his pitching hand.

3.  At the exact moment when results on the field created new uneasiness for fans confident that this is a franchise beset by an endless series of unpreventable freak accidents worth of any one of the Final Destination sequels.

He is smoking a cigarette and playing with a kitten.

I think... In his office... Game on TV... Sound Muted... He's on the phone with his wife... And she's wondering why he isn't on his way home right now!!!

It's discouraging to read about these young minor league prospects who, when they come up, kind of like suck.

I know, it's only his second start ...

I find his fastball speed more concerning. I thought he was going to be a hard thrower

He's on pace to challenge for the career record for AL manager ejections if he can stay alive and employed as one until a bit less than 65.

In other words, he could be playing with a cigarette and smoking a kitten.  Other considerations aside, the dude just goes off.

The command and control are obvious issues...but hopefully fixable.

I wouldn't mind so much if he were flashing great stuff and missing.

Carol: Why aren't you home yet.

Ron: The game is still going Dear.

Carol: and you have to do what exactly?

Ron: I'm still the Manager of this team.

Carol: No you're not... The ump threw you out... Terry is the manager right now... I'll ask again... Why are you not on your way home? You always come home at midnight. Every Night... Are you saying its midnight again. Are you gonna wait in your office by yourself and still come home at midnight.

Ron: that's not true... I was home at 10PM last night

Carol: it was a day game!!!
