Game Thread: Twins @ Athletics, 8/8 @ 9:05pm CT

[teekz]

Dang it Fuld. Quit catching the ball!

[Riverbrian]

Not quite as deep as Jean-Claude van Damme's.

Alright... We need photos of splits.

[USAFChief]

Damn it, Chief! That alarm clock idea didn't work. You neglected to remind me to set it for 9pm not am.

2100.  Not 0900.

Better?

[USAFChief]

Alright... We need photos of splits.

[stringer bell]

My eyes say that Santana is a better LH hitter. IIRC, he started with a crazy high BABIP as a right hander.

[Halsey Hall]

Gibson is better relaxed, and nothing relaxes like runs.  He falls behind and things snowball.  Let's get him one of those splits between innings.  Looks mouthwatering!

[Riverbrian]

2100. Not 0900.

Better?

Chief... Did people groan... When you said "Oh Five Hundred"?

They always do in the movies.

Yum. That'll go nicely with my hot cup o' cocoa.

Yep... I, checking the freezer right now

[Squirrel]

Now I want some ice cream

[stringer bell]

Gibson got away with a lot of pitches out of the zone that inning.

[Riverbrian]

Now I want some ice cream

Yeah... All it takes is a photo. Chief could have posted a 7-10 split and I wouldn't be off to the bowling alley.

Chief posts that thing and I'm up to the freezer in seconds.

[USAFChief]

The offense looks much better tonight than last night.

It took till the 3rd inning to put a ball into fair territory last night.  Tonight we've already got several lazy fly balls to the outfield.

[teekz]

Now I want some ice cream

Eh. I already ran to DQ for a Blizzard.

[Riverbrian]

According to that commercial... My Dodge Dart can do a loop de loop.

I'll be right back

[stringer bell]

Much like last night, this game promises to go pretty fast. Unless Gibson starts allowing a lot of baserunners.

[Squirrel]

Eh. I already ran to DQ for a Blizzard.

Are you taunting me, teekz? I could always change that Jedi Master to JarJar Binks.

[Riverbrian]

Gibson got away with a lot of pitches out of the zone that inning.

It was a special Twin Zone

[GCTF]

On pace for the under 90 pitch perfect game.

[Craig Arko]

Alright... We need photos of splits.

Bet you saw this coming...

[ScrapTheNickname]

Why do the Twins have so many left-handed hitters in the lineup? Is Gardy checking to see, if on the outside chance, one of them will get a hit?

I think that Eric Sogard is so cute, but I'm glad he got out.

It was the Chips Ahoy Blizzard. It was really good.

I recognize that photo... It's Arizona... Look at the scenery.... Chief? What did you do? Where's the Dog?

Look closer...it's North Dakota, Red River Valley.

Notice the lack of trees.  Grain elevators in the background.

You on the roof of the Dart.

[Dr. Evil]

A's are tough bet they win the world series.

When did I get a Daughter?

[stringer bell]

12 up, 12 down.
