Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Laughing is always good, regardless of the circumstances. Impossible to be in a bad mood when you are laughing. I went to Wal-Mart during rain delay and picked up a carton of Nitrous Oxide for her.

Gibby Provisional Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Creepy Meat Guy. Wonder when he'd show up.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Oh crap! You can really get that at Walmart? hehehe You can get everything at Wal-Mart. I also picked up a palm tree. It was tough getting it into my dart.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 "Cool beans?" Is that from WWI? I think that's what they ate, we should ask Chief though, he was probably there.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 "Cool beans?" Is that from WWI? I'm also curious 'bout the etymology of the phrase. I'd say it is also a favorite of mine, though i couldn't say why, other than it sounds good. Anyway, i dig it; it is dug!
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 "Cool beans?" Is that from WWI? That was 70's... At least it was in Northern Minnesota. I guess its possible we were 6 decades behind the times. (Thinks for a second) Yeah we probably were.

twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Both teams determined to make last call tonight after that inning.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Please be talking a 70s vintage Dart. Nope... The New model. And I love it.... It turned me Dodge.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Nope... The New model. And I love it.... It turned me Dodge. I had a Durango for 10 years. I loved every minute of it. Until I had to fill the tank.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 I was literally typing up some lyrics, thought better of it, and hit reload instead. EDIT: It's disturbing to learn I'm so easily manipulated. Although, I've been married for 33 plus years, so this shouldn't come as such a surprise.Oh, I thought you were going to say you were napping.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 I think that's what they ate, we should ask Chief though, he was probably there.Indeed. I believe the origins of the phrase came from when we squatted low in our foxholes on those long, cold winter nights.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Before the game, Colabello tweeted to many of his Rochester teammates for the rain to go away b/c they wanted to see Yohan deal. I know there were those on TD who would have preferred to see someone else brought up ... but it's easy to overlook how great it must be for many of the journeymen in Rochester to see one of their own make his major league debut. Has to be an inspiration.
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 I have been driving a Camaro convertible all week -- a rental. It's not easy to get in and out of it, but fun to drive. Because it's a rental, I have not hesitated to drive it like a rented mule. Pino is a pleasant surprise. The Twins need to get him a run.
WLFINN Verified Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Everyone was saying 86-87 on the fastball dunno how accurate Gameday is but it was tracking 90-91?
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Please be talking a 70s vintage Dart. I used to drive a 1967 Valiant if it makes you feel any better. Damn I miss that car.

What an awesome road trip.

I'd be bummed if he didn't get another start.
