sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Now let's get him some immediate run support. Wouldn't that be a nice change??? 1 run, courtesy of Willingham, bottom of the second. Not quite immediate, but so far, so good...
Trautmann13 Provisional Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 How can you guys be tired of Bert, when he just reaches back and pulls out that great call for HAMMER TIME!
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 I heard that shot off the bat all the way in Tucson. And I have the sound down on my TV.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 You guys need to have some control. You are jinxing the heck out of this game. Do you wanna lose or something?

I'll try to do better. At least we're keepin' the scope of the jinx within reason. Only 1 batter at a time (i think) But that brings to mind... We're always worried about jinxin' players in the game. Have we ever given thought to not jinxin' the front office?
Gibby Provisional Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 I went out to a new joint in St Paul, on Selby. I was with my wife and daughter, I had an entire pint of ale dumped in my lap, but I was having such a good time, it didn't bother me a bit. I am rarely that happy in Minnesota restaurants.

Did they wring your pants out and give you a straw at least?
Gibby Provisional Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Was it your wife or daughter who dumped the pint in your lap? Daughter. She's one of those people that are hard to get mad at.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Did they wring your pants out and give you a straw at least? They were very cool, but I've been out fighting a flood, so I've been wet all day. The beer in the lap was nothing.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Somewhere, John Sebastion just shed a tear. That was a set up for Chief, but you nailed it.
