They were very cool, but I've been out fighting a flood, so I've been wet all day. The beer in the lap was nothing.

 

Floods and beer in my lap are two things I'm very familiar with, hope all goes well......with the flood, too late for the beer.

That was a set up for Chief, but you nailed it.

I was literally typing up some lyrics, thought better of it, and hit reload instead.

 

EDIT: It's disturbing to learn I'm so easily manipulated.

 

Although, I've been married for 33 plus years, so this shouldn't come as such a surprise.

It may be sad that I'm so excited for a routine Mauer single, but nothing has been routine for him this year, and the haters have been out in full force.

 

I guess that when I'm constantly annoyed by shortsighted "fans" who can only think to bitch about salary when watching a potential hall of famer and a once-in-a-generation hitter, one measly little single seems like a much bigger deal than it really is.

No kidding about the head injuries. I've said it before, but I have to believe that it's lingering effects of the concussion. Not that he isn't "healthy," but major league hitters operate on a different spatial plane than most of us. Getting knocked into next Tuesday may throw that off for quite a while.

I get the impression Morales is one of those track suit wearing dudes, guys uniforms is like 2 sizes too big.
