sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 2. Yovani Gallardo -- Born in 1986 in Mexico. When I think of Mexico... I think of Cancun, Acapulco, Cabo... the Tourist spots. Turns out... There is a bunch of Mexico that isn't exactly touristy and that is where Gallardo comes from. Gallardo grew up on a burrito farm. On hot summer nights... Yovani and his brothers and sisters... aunts and uncles would climb the burrito trees and drop the ripe burritos to the ground. It was hard work and working from sun up to sun down made him extremely boring. Throughout his major league career. Gallardo has never been amazing and he has never been bad... He's been consistently above average. When I've seen him pitch... he has an assortment of real good breaking pitches that seem to break late. You know... the kind of pitch that Mauer has been struggling with this year. Wow, you'd have to have some killer break on your pitch to throw down a ripe burrito and not have it... well, break. Was no one down there to catch them? As always, i am lookin' forward to the game. Thanks for them thoughts!

Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 I'd change my name to Hot Rod for 50 bucks. If the payer also paid the administrative fees to the state and fed... Maybe... But I'm accustomed to sharing a last name with my wife, I doubt she'd go for Rev. Rod...

Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Throw back uni's, only Gomez is wearing stirrup socks
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 I'm really not in favor of these Twins unis. They were a mistake 30 years ago .... and that hasn't changed.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 It has been awhile since I have seen Clint Eastwood, Tony Dow, and Bugs Bunny referenced together. Brian's style is an extreme form of stream of conscioh look there's a butterfly.
Twins Twerp Provisional Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Sometimes dedunos balls go in AND out...now thats a good pitch. Plus plus
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 I'd change my name to Hot Rod for 50 bucks. My wife would probably pay 50 bucks to change her name away from Mrs Ashbury.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Brian's style is an extreme form of stream of conscioh look there's a butterfly. Where?! Doh! i missed it. they always seem to flutter by. And just when i was watchin' the game. (Two leadoff brewer hits doesn't help the cause much. But Deduno got the next 3 outs, allowin' a run to score)
MichiganTwins Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Ah I love me some Pinto in the lineup and of course producing.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Plouffe gets picked off, but ends up on third. And PINTO!
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 College graduations? Congrats. My oldest graduates from SLP high school next week, then MN Morris.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Plouffe gets picked off, but ends up on third. This is the kind of play that gets a team on the margins of the post-season into them, and then does that team absolutely no good once in the post-season. Nice to see Pinto drive him in, of course.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Throw back uni's, only Gomez is wearing stirrup socksOk, Go Go not the only one, but no Twins in stirrups

MichiganTwins Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 It is nice when we can score more than one run per hit/wild pitch.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 I like Santana, Dozier, Mauer, Willingham 1-4 I especially like it when 2 out of the 3 get on, and Willingham deposits it beyond the fence. I hope we get to see that again sometime...
