You didn't miss anything unusual or remarkable...HR from Parms, RBI single and a double from Plouffe, four perfect innings to start the game from Kevin Correia, a hit from Mauer, left the bases loadedin the third, etc etc.

 

Nice recap. Better than I will read later on ESPN.

Well that should make Zuke feel better after the rough game he's had this evening, especially if we pull out the win. I do miss the inside-the-park HRs in the Metrodome though. Still remember ESPN televising the game in 1997 when they retired Kirby's jersey. McGwire blasted a 450 ft homer to center, Rich Becker popped up a 250 ft homer to short center. Classic Metrodome.

 

Correction: it was Pat Meares with the ITPHR. But Becker and Roberto Kelly also hit them that year at the Dome.

Hmm is Nunez for Kubel really a defensive improvement?
Anyone for Kubel in LF is probably a defensive improvement.

I feel more confident with Fien on the mound these days than any other Twins reliever, including Perk.

I hate the camera view in Petco. That last pitch did not look like ball 4 from the tv angle.

Anyone for Kubel in LF is probably a defensive improvement.

 

Kubes doesn't have much range but he catches what he gets too and knows where to throw the ball too, haven't been able to say the same for some of the infielders in the outfield moments we have been privy too this year.

Even with two bum knees, he's still not the worst fielder on the team.

I'm not the worst bowler on the planet, but I know there are plenty out there that are better than me.
