glunn Community Moderator Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I have not seen an inside the park homer for a while.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 That didn't just happen......did it?
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Smith's gonna hear from the kangaroo court tomorrow afternoon.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 What the hell did I just see? Outfielder negligence.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 That's why you always run things out.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Way to leg out that home run over the wall, Zuke!
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 What the hell did I just see? You just saw Twins baseball!!
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I have not seen an inside the park homer for a while.Still haven't. Edit: It was darned entertainin' though!
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 You didn't miss anything unusual or remarkable...HR from Parms, RBI single and a double from Plouffe, four perfect innings to start the game from Kevin Correia, a hit from Mauer, left the bases loadedin the third, etc etc. Nice recap. Better than I will read later on ESPN.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I have not seen an inside the park homer for a while. (You really didn't tonight either,* but) in the play-by-play it'll read that way. * Scooped by Chief

twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Nope didn't happen, thought so.
Hawkeye12 Verified Member Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Well that should make Zuke feel better after the rough game he's had this evening, especially if we pull out the win. I do miss the inside-the-park HRs in the Metrodome though. Still remember ESPN televising the game in 1997 when they retired Kirby's jersey. McGwire blasted a 450 ft homer to center, Rich Becker popped up a 250 ft homer to short center. Classic Metrodome. Correction: it was Pat Meares with the ITPHR. But Becker and Roberto Kelly also hit them that year at the Dome.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 If the Twins go on to win this game, new rule is sliding into home on every HR.
zchrz Provisional Member Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Hmm is Nunez for Kubel really a defensive improvement?
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Hmm is Nunez for Kubel really a defensive improvement? potato>potato
James Verified Member Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Hmm is Nunez for Kubel really a defensive improvement?Anyone for Kubel in LF is probably a defensive improvement.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I feel more confident with Fien on the mound these days than any other Twins reliever, including Perk.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Hmm is Nunez for Kubel really a defensive improvement? yeah seems a little unnecessary
Fatt Crapps Provisional Member Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Anyone for Kubel in LF is probably a defensive improvement. Even with two bum knees, he's still not the worst fielder on the team.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Anyone for Kubel in LF is probably a defensive improvement. Ahem! http://cdn2.mocksession.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/NICE-THROW-DELMON.gif
James Verified Member Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I hate the camera view in Petco. That last pitch did not look like ball 4 from the tv angle.
zchrz Provisional Member Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Anyone for Kubel in LF is probably a defensive improvement. Kubes doesn't have much range but he catches what he gets too and knows where to throw the ball too, haven't been able to say the same for some of the infielders in the outfield moments we have been privy too this year.
James Verified Member Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Even with two bum knees, he's still not the worst fielder on the team.I'm not the worst bowler on the planet, but I know there are plenty out there that are better than me.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 An insurance run would be nice, but the local ice cream laboratory closes at 11:00.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Even with two bum knees Bi-lateral knee bumness!
