The justification for allowing review was that it would let them make sure they got the calls right. So far I'm not convinced. Maybe Dozier was out, but there was zero evidence that clearly showed they made the wrong call. Way too many cases when replay doesn't seem to do what we wanted it to do- overturn obvious mistakes.

--this refers to today's changed call on Dozier getting doubled off, not the steal mentioned above.

Did you see the one I'm talking about? What did you think?

Well they finally showed a replay where he is out......come on FSN get it to US!!!!!!

Though DickBert are still trying to figure out if he caught the ball in the pocket or not. Anyway, my comment was more about replays in general. Too much like the NFL- calls you expect to see upheld, calls you thought were good overturned, neutral play-by-play people shaking their heads (ESPN, not home team callers).

I only watched the replay once, but he looked easily out. An MLB umpire should get that right much more often than not. He missed it that time and the replay corrected it.

He looked easily out????? Ha , original replays were inconclusive, only when they finally showed from Dodger dugout that it showed his palm hitting bag and not fingers, it was that close.

Dude. Phil Hughes is striking out 8.4 per 9.

Wow a Twins pitcher averaging almost a K an inning, I guess Santana would be the last Twins pitcher to average a K an inning.

Yikes, one misplay on the swinging bunt, and suddenly Deduno looks human again. That'll be all the excuse they need to keep Pelfrey in the rotation.

I have hated losing to the Dodgers since 1965, and hate it more now that I live in Dodger territory. We need some runs.

So no jokes about Mauer swing on 1st pitch then?.......you're killing me.

Jokes are one thing, but multiple sarcastic comments in a row are another. Especially when you constantly post sarcastic comments about the players, FO, etc.

Deduno out for a fourth inning. Potentially stretching him out for a spot in the rotation or just saving the bullpen for game two?

Both.

Pelfrey's continued struggles today reminded me of Scott Diamond's struggles in AAA. How long of a leash does he have in AAA?

Adrian Gonzalez has quite the cold-weather gear on today. He looks like he just walked off the night shift on "Most Dangerous Catch".

This coming from the guy who's quote is:

"I couldn't be a player because of bad eyesight, so I decided to be an umpire instead."

Which is a joke. I'm actually an umpire. (I don't have bad eyesight though)

Umpires are fair game, or referees in any sport for that matter.
