LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Dumbest mound charge of all time: Reggie Sanders, believing Pedro Martinez had deliberately thrown at him just five outs from a perfect game. What a tool.
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Seriously, when was the last time this team was involved in a brawl? Near-brawl -- Delmon wanting to charge his teammate (Mjares?)?
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Near-brawl -- Delmon wanting to charge his teammate (Mjares?)?At least he didn't throw a bat at him...
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 The hell? This thing is still going? The game or the thread?
Beezer07 Provisional Member Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Welp, probably shoulda just won it in the bottom of the 9th.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Why couldn't Perkins go two innings again?
James Verified Member Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Well, that HR just took all the fun out of this game.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 So much for selling high on Burton...
GCTF Verified Member Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 If it's any consolation, there was no way he was going to get Chuck out anyway.
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 6. Think about Burton and 6a. think about Tonkin.
zchrz Provisional Member Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 The year he was good, didn't Burton throw the "splange-up" most of the time? Why the fastball reliance the last 2 years.
GCTF Verified Member Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 The year he was good, didn't Burton throw the "splange-up" most of the time? Why the fastball reliance the last 2 years. Not enough contact otherwise.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Why couldn't Perkins go two innings again?Because closer, or something... Dunno. The 21 pitches and high usage to start the season probably didn't help. And Gardenhire only asked him to go two innings once last year, in the last week of the season, oddly enough. In fact he only recorded more than three outs three times last season.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 9, 2014 Author Posted April 9, 2014 ****. That is all I have to say.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Why is that more acceptable than losing the ball in the roof?
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Note to Twins, a two man bench sucks. You can't just DL these guys right when they get hurt. That wouldn't make sense.
GCTF Verified Member Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Hopefully Joe can bloop one here to load 'em up.
James Verified Member Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Hopefully Joe can bloop one here to load 'em up.A walk works too.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 You can't just DL these guys right when they get hurt. That wouldn't make sense. To be clear, you can't DL starters when they get hurt, you can DL guys that should not be on the roster at all. these unwritten rules are hard....
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 6. Think about Burton and 6a. think about Tonkin. Was in fact thinking it's time for the Tonkin Resolution.
thetank Verified Member Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Need a grand slam. Walk off GS will be a moment in Twins history
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Suspecting there's a Reussie column in the works about the loss, in which all we learn about the game is that Mauer walked in his final AB instead of homering, and is therefore an indisputably over-rated nonleader and all-around disappointment.
