ashbury Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I think we may be seeing the two worst teams in the AL this year. Of this year? Of all time, don't you mean?

ashbury Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I'll take the blame. I turned on the game just in time for Dunn's AB in the 8th. One more infraction like this one, and it's a bannin'.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Of this year? Of all time, don't you mean? In my lifetime 62 Mets and 2003 Tigers.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 One more infraction like this one, and it's a bannin'.One more ninth like this one, and it won't be necessary. Edit: Well, that took all of two innings. Re-edit: 1.67, actually.

JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I'd been watching the Chicago feed but it blacked out for a moment so I switched back to Dick/Bert. It's like the FSN broadcast is about 10 seconds behind the CSN Chicago feed. Kind of like the difference between radio & TV.
Chance Provisional Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I thought they were walking to get to Dunn for CT. Nope. Deduno stays in...
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 It's like the FSN broadcast is about 10 seconds behind the CSN Chicago feed. Kind of like the difference between radio & TV. Yes, I've checked the ESPN boxscore and a few times was able to predict the future.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 It might work, it might not, but I don't walk the RH batter to get to Dunn.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Interesting beginning to the Deduno bullpen saga... Never thought I'd say this, even about Deduno, but calling that a wild pitch was generous. Other than the point of origin, there wasn't really anything pitch-like about it.
drock2190 Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Well its a race to the bottom and we got a good start.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Looking forward to Brian's "Things To Think About" next time. Plouffe, Deduno, ....
SydneyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Awesome.Since when did Jose Abreu turn into Barry Bonds by the way? You can't pitch to him with 2 outs?
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Great stuff doesn't do much good if you can't get it over the plate.
jctwins Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Did anyone mention this team is terrible?
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Awesome.Since when did Jose Abreu turn into Barry Bonds by the way? You can't pitch to him with 2 outs? I like how they are terrified of Abreu, yet made no attempt to sign him.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Did anyone mention this team is terrible? Think what it is going to look like when they play somebody better than the White Sox .... which is just about everybody. Sigh. But hey using that post somewhere WAY up above, the Twins really won this game.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Did anyone mention this team is terrible? (Checking the post number...) Oh, only about 259 times so far. / edit - oops, two more posts snuck in ahead of me

LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Talking Hair's postgame comment on Correia: "didn't have overpowering stuff". Only two earned today, so imagine how good he'll be when he gets back to his old, overpowering stuff...
Trevor0333 Provisional Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I'm not going to freak out about Deduno throwing a wild pitch in his 1st appearance when it's 30 degrees out. However, this is exactly why he is not a great bullpen option. He belongs in the rotation & Pelfrey in AAA.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I like how they are terrified of Abreu, yet made no attempt to sign him. Apparently their Advance Scouts are better than their Latin America Scouts.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I'm not going to freak out about Deduno throwing a wild pitch How about two wild pitches?
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 The boys in the Mall of America Studio have the big lipstick out after this one.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Semien is frozen. We play the White Sox, what, 67 more times this season? I'm not sure I can take 67 more of this.
