When I lived in Chicago, we used to call US Cellular Field "The Cuze". Mainly because Joan Cusak was everywhere with US Cellular ads that summer, that and it just sort of had a nice ring to it.

 

My slang thesaurus doesn't have quite such a nice ring to it.

I lucked out this winter. I had the Adriatic out the back window, and a 300year old vineyard out the front. I'll tell you, it makes Minnesota look pretty crummy.

I was expecting to Mauer to look at the camera and say "Live From New York... it's Saturday Night"!!!

 

I am at work, so I can't really comment anything of substance on the game (not that I would have anything profound to say), but if Mauer hosted SNL it would either be the most painful hour of television ever, or so surreal and bizarre that it would be entertaining.

I do NOT support people wearing Nascar jackets in public (outside of actual Nascar events), unless they are black or navy. I can deal with that, but seriously, when was the last time you saw a Nascar jacket that didn't involve a fluorescent color scheme?

I support Nascar fans wearing pants. Tasteful team jacket colors are a bonus, like a co-worker White Sox fan who is usually free of odor.

Hey, take it easy on the guy, he grew up speaking Holland talk or something, plus how can he be expected to be spot on pronouncing the name of some obscure utility guy?
