    Interesting. Add me to the list of those that like this idea. Should EmRod return and have a good month, would consider moving him. Why? Because he is injured way too much. But would only do that if he would be part of a move bringing back a good player who has at least 2+ years control. Would also consider Larnach. Neither he or Wallner are good defensively. With the season Larnach is having, just might be time to move on. Would also free up playing time for Keaschall when he returns next month.

    Thanks for this piece, Cody. I now will have something to tell my wife when she takes me to task as I am swearing at the television. This piece put a smile on my face and that's always appreciated.

    "Hopefully, Prielipp will pitch again this season." When I read the STrib this morning and saw he was on the 7-day IL because of a blister I shouted with joy. Although blisters can be a lingering problem, shutting him down should get him back relatively soon. Yet, when I read your comment it seemed to indicate there was something more serious? Do you know something the rest of us don't? I understand with his history that the Twins are being extra cautious. And they should. Assuming he is back and healthy in a ten days or a couple weeks, I can still see him making it all the way to the Twins by late this year. Doubt he will be available to fill their short-term needs, but everything seems to be in line for next year and beyond.

    Loved this piece, Cody, thanks. Must disagree, however, with your comment that Soto has the highest ceiling as a true #1. Although this is his first full season, Hill appears to be doing everything Soto has with even better secondary pitches. Granted he hasn't been healthy in the past, but Prielipp appears to have put his health issues behind him. If so, he has the same high ceiling, at least in my opinion. He also is several levels ahead of the others and still could be pitching at Target Field come September. Like Morris, alot. But just don't see him in the same league as the above trio. [Note: I continue to hope that one of these lefties is the Twins next Liriano.]

    Not a good day in the win-loss column. See that Carpenter had a nice game. Was this his best outing of the season?

    Exciting that Prielipp was at 62 pitches and 4+ innings. Excellent night for this young leftie. But Holy Cow, Hill was even better with 60 pitches, 4.0 shutout innings and only 2 hits. Don't know if many of you caught Glen Perkins comment on yesterday's broadcast about Jenkins. Said he met him this winter in an elevator at a Twins event. Commented on how big he was, said he "towered over me." Didn't realize Jenkins was that big as Perkins is around 6'0? And what a night because the DSL Twins actually won for the first time. I know they have been scoring lots of runs. Checked and see that four hitters have averages close to or over .500. Yes, it is a small sample, but that's still impressive. Are any of the four big dollar signings this past winter?

    Several hitters for the Saints are smashing the ball. Unfortunately, Miranda and Julien aren't among them. Are they destined to AAAA status? Another big night for Winokur, hopefully his early struggles are behind him and he gets the call to AA by late summer. Also exciting seeing the results Jenkins is getting. Two questions. One, how long will he stay in Fort Myers? And two, will he move up to the Kernels or go straight to Wichita? Always exciting to see Prielipp's name as tonight's probable starter at Wichita. And tonight will have two of those young lefties on the mound as Hill is also scheduled to start.

    Like how Winokur has been getting many doubles, triples and home runs of late. Isn't it great seeing Jenkins in the daily box scores? Also got a good smile from your explanation of the DSL Twins "best pitching performance." Thanks!

    Sure seems like Culpepper has a chance to be another strong candidate for a future Twins infield. Will he be better than the current group of former can't miss prospects? Also great seeing Winokur with a 4-6 day with a home run and double. After a slow, slow start, the kid has been heating up of late.

    Interesting. I am not qualified to even begin to have an opinion of whether or not this would be good move. Trust the Twins front office is qualified, at least I hope like heck they are.

    Have read here that Gonzalez is a liability in the field. Is that so? If he has no hope defensively, hopefully he will keep hitting like this so they can get something for him as part of a July trade. That is unless they like to keep bats that are a liability on D.

    What a fantastic day for the Twins. Walker Jenkins was back on the field, hoooorah! Noticed that Thomason is having a very nice beginning to his season. Could he be another Air Force Academy find for the organization? Don't have a clue what to think of the first couple games for the DSL squad?

    Thanks for the article, Cody. It was great. Enjoyed the comments, especially about Diaw. The Twins are going to need a catcher by next spring at the latest. A young stud would be fantastic. Unfortunately, Diaw is too far away. Is he their #1 catching prospect?

    The highlight of this report, at least for me, was seeing that Prielipp will be making today's start for Wichita. Also great that Hill was back in action with an excellent, albeit short, start. Saw that Winokur was in center field. Checked to see if he has been out there a lot and found that he has played center more than any other position this season. Interesting! Was exciting seeing Miranda with three hits. I just don't see him as a good fit for the Twins going forward. Hopefully he will have more games like yesterday over the coming month so he has some value come July.

    Expect Wallner is on a plane to Seattle today, isn't he? Is it possible Bader goes on the IL and they don't have to decide who either gets DFA'd or sent back to St. Paul? Looking forward to how MacLeod does tonight. When was the last time Prielipp pitched? Did he miss a turn? Also wondering if the Saints are limiting Festa to 60 or so pitches coming back from his recent pause? Great seeing Winokur with another two-hit game. Especially with one a home run. Thanks for the report, Seth.

    Beginning with the Lewis injury in spring training, I have been wondering why? These players work so hard at getting bigger and stronger. Does that mean that their muscles are more prone to the types of injury that Royce just came back from? Maybe players would be better off staying in good shape, but not trying to be the biggest and strongest possible. As for Jenkins, a high ankle sprain isn't the same. Seems just like bad luck, unless he has had a history of ankle problems. Does anyone know if that is the case?

    Count me among those who will be elated if he can match last year's 82 games with similar stats. Expect the Twins will also be more than happy should he do so. Also expect he will spend the entire year at Wichita.

    Took a closer look at that KC prospect. Looks like the real deal after being the #6 pick last year. With KC's pitching, this kid will look awfully nice hitting behind Witt and that first baseman. Impressed with the team KC is putting together. What a night for Cedar Rapids. Culpepper hits one out and their pitching made that work. Personally, don't know much about that pitching staff. Are there a couple big time prospects pitching for the Kernels?

    Great seeing Wallner with another bomb. They like to see players on rehab play back-to-back games. Expect he will play tonight in Omaha, then catch a flight in the morning to Seattle. If so, expect McCusker will be on a flight from Tampa to Omaha tonight. Great seeing Miranda with a three hit night. Am I remembering right that he has been hitting better the last week or so? With the infielders the Twins have, don't see a future for Jose with the Twins going forward. So hopefully, he will start mashing the ball so he has some value come late July. [Edit. See he will be playing 9 innings today, Thursday. Looks like he won't be going west for another day or two]

    Not a lot to like about yesterday's games. Only thought I had was that we are at the end of May and still haven't heard a word about when their top prospect would be back on the field. Hasn't played in soo long have forgotten his name, Walker something, isn't it?

    Add me to the list of those intrigued by MacLeod. Will second Dman's comment that I will be shocked if Culpepper doesn't soon move down I-35 to Kansas. Add that it is good to continue seeing a lot of positive every time Hill is on the hill!

    Interesting seeing that Prielipp gave up the home run to his last hitter as he was approaching 50 pitches. Expect he needs a couple more starts with a 50 pitch limit before moving up to maybe 60. Doubt he will go beyond that as I HOPE the Twins plan is to move him up to the Saints soon. That will put him in a position to join the Twins in August. Could be a fantastic reliever, one who can go two+ innings, for the playoff run. Gotta love Culpepper as the kid is flat out lighting it up. Looks like time for a move to Kansas, at least to me. Although his first starts haven't all been awesome, excited to see Carpenter pitching tonight.

    Thanks, Cody. After a very slow start to the season, his bat is starting to pick up. Kid is so young, hopefully, he makes it AA later this summer. Will be interesting to see if he can stick at shortstop?

    Did I read the summary correctly? Winokur had 6 hits, 3 were doubles and 2 home runs?
