  1. So Jesus ok, but dogs not, got it. This just cracks me up, aren't dog's one of God's creatures?
  2. This is important when considering the good starts of our division brethren. On the other hand Cleveland gets the gold star so far.
  3. Joe did you get any snow up there this "winter". It was a completely depressing snowpocolypse here in Minnesota, ugh. Nada.
  4. That W was obviously an inside job.
  5. Is it possible both of these things are true? Polo is a fav for me and I think he will heat up this year. He was always a welcome addition to the lineup when healthy and when he got his righty swing dialed in, dangerous. All that being said I'm in the camp that it was time to move on.
  6. Wallner is going to need some time. I watched Louie and Duran pitch. Louie looked pretty good, but I want to see real improvement in his command. This was a typical Varland start. DaShawn K went high above the fence to pull in a homer saving Louie from a familiar fate. Duran, on the other hand looked great. 99 with the split sinker and hit 103 with the four seamer. He is ready. The crew were talking to him and said that they were told he'd need 2 or 3 rehab appearances and Duran emphatically said no, just two. 👍
  7. Chewing on some coco leaves might help with staying up later, I kid, I kid. Seriously it's pretty cool that you can live in an exotic local and still follow our favorite ballclub.
  8. Seems like the twins have been getting the calls against Chicago and again last night in LA. The strikeouts have been down and it's nice to watch the other team stand there and watch strike three with the bat on their shoulder for a change. You make your own luck, right? Vazquez has been a valuable member of the catching duo. Sure Jeffer's great bat makes his pale in comparison, but Vazquez has contributed some key outs in tight games while handling his duties well. He may be overpaid for a number 2, but I just pretend Jeffers is the one getting paid 10m. Works for me.
  9. Yep see above. Not your fault that Alcala is down, but it is the "fool" Baldelli that sent him there? Give me a break.
  10. I did check TBar's splits against rightys for last year as mentioned. Not good. Are his days numbered? They still seem to trust him.
  11. Have you looked at the bullpen usage chart?
  12. What are all you old farts doing up anyway?
  13. I just love Ober's demeanor out there. After giving up the single run he looked angry as he stalked off the mound.
  14. Good job, but you forgot to write each name on a piece of paper and pick them from a hat.
  15. So far so good for SWR. (The guy needs a one syllable nickname) He looks calm and ready for his shot at just 23, that's pretty good. Nothing really jumps off the page, but he's got a nice pitch mix. He is fortunate to get his first three starts against strikeout prone Detroit and the, ahem, Southsiders lol. Just build from there young man.
