  1. Everybody knows he can play great D in center and run the bases. If he keeps lighting up AAA with the bat they better get a look at him. Not on the 40, rule 5 eligible, he may not last this off-season.
  2. Gee thanks Master. You keep saying this, but what about the Twins history under the Pohlad family leads you to believe it? Falvey and crew have much better results than their predecessors who kept their jobs through TSF and multiple 90 plus loss seasons.
  3. I'm the opposite. Part of being a long time member of a forum like this is you get to know the other members. I not only pay attention to who says what, but when I see a reaction like a heart or thumbs down and a list of responding members, I like to guess who reacted a certain way before clicking on it. After a while you get to know other posters well enough to guess right most of the time. I'd guess most here are paying attention to what you say and keeping that in mind I try to stay respectful. Some members have mentioned that they have blocked many other members. You don't block somebody unless you are paying attention to the comments of others.
  4. Inexplicable, confounding, curious. A large, profitable operation that appears to be self-sabotaging. DSP lost my confidence years ago, but Joe began his tenure with some excitement and promise. It appeared the Twins had a new leader that was interested in baseball. A great new beginning, but now this. What happened? I don't get it.
  5. A couple of notes by Bobby N of the Strib. Garver on Royce Lewis, "You get in those [playoff] situations, and you see who can rise to the occasion," said Garver, who had three homers and 14 RBI in 14 postseason games last fall. "I was like, 'Dude, Royce, I loved watching you play in the playoffs last year. That was so much fun. You were made for the playoffs.' He did it. I was just like, 'You are worth more on the field than you are off, so run at like 85%.' ". I hope Royce was listening Zebby Matthews, the Twins' minor league pitcher of the month for April, was promoted to Class AA Wichita on Monday. Matthews, an eighth-round pick in 2022 whose fastball sat at 96 mph in his last outing, had a 1.59 ERA in four starts with 28 strikeouts and zero walks in 22⅔ innings. Zeb getting closer
  6. Seattle has great starting pitching. Ours isn't too bad and we have the better producing lineup. The Mariners are beatable. This looked like the toughest matchup.
  7. You were hanging in the John for 2 hours? In Paris?
  8. American League OPS rankings have Minnesota at 5 and Seattle at 12. .719 vs .668. Gotta offset Seattle's rotation. Runs per game Twins 4.64 vs Seattle 3.65. Get it!
  9. This is my hope. They have to see if he's got anything left. I just read Gleeman's article and he said Margot's sprint speed went from the 75th percentile last season to the 44th this year. Sheesh I thought he was slowed by injury last year. Did the guy just drop off a cliff at 29?
  10. Yes I'm discovering some of these limitations. Who'd of thought I'd have a desire to watch the T Wolves, lol? How did you find out about the dropped channels? My wife is not going to like that
  11. Hey MP what do you mean by this? I've always enjoyed your posting.
  12. Anybody with internet can sign up for a streaming service like Fubo for $90 a month and watch the Twins or record and watch them on your schedule. Now that the feds are making high speed Internet in rural areas (like mine) a priority, satellite TV is a relic. We suffered with 4mps DSL and five users for years. The fiber optic cable has brought us into the light.
  13. Ryan had every reason to be upset, and he did appear to briefly lose focus there. All in all a good outing for him. Sometimes people mention when a player has a right to be mad at a teammate for a mistake that negatively impacts them and the team. And they are correct. But the best players don't look at it that way and bear down.
  14. Maybe we could get Noam to weigh in on the state of the forum on the other thread. Might stir things up a bit.
