  1. 😂 Gah!! HATE THEM (like the phrasing Chief)
  2. Yeah I saw that too. I'm guessing something besides pure performance is a factor here. With most guys returning from injuries they use the kid gloves, like with Ober. Not in this case. Whatever the problem is, manage it and get this talent back out on the mound in position to best succeed as his undeniable talent dictates. Yes I do feel a little better now
  3. Patella tendonitis, eh? Sound familiar? Maybe it's the plica.
  4. DaShawn Keirsey Jr, fleet footed center fielder. Rising above walls to steal homers at a minor league ballpark near you.
  5. Margot was coming of a leg injury last year and it was reasonable to assume his athleticism would return to close to previous levels. It isn't usual for such a rapid decline at 29.
  6. Agree with Stringer's assessment here. Louie will have to wait. The bright side (with a couple of ifs, lol) is just like last year, if we make the playoffs and if these guys stay healthy, reinforcements will be available. Varland, Paddack unless he emerges as a playoff starter and even guys like Festa could be available from the pen. Of course guys like Stewart and Topa get healthy. Some of them available down the stretch too. That really worked out nicely last year. I don't remember seeing that done so well before, that pen was formidable by the end. Canterino.....
  7. Do you think there are guys widening their stance and choking up or something with 2 strikes? I think Jeffers was saying that. Kepler's had many 2 strike hits of all sorts; squibs, bloops, going the opposite way etc. This is my purely anecdotal observation.
  8. In a way this is a good point, but if the OBP is the same with less homers, you will have more base runners.
  9. Considering the track records of AK and Miranda, I don't think it was unreasonable to feel like you couldn't count on them. Most here are pleasantly surprised by Miranda's start. AK looked great when the rest of the team was bad, but he's been scuffling hard the last three weeks. I was definitely not excited about Santana, but the thought process makes sense.
  10. I've considered this before, how Baldelli's career and injury history might effect his decision making. Then again didn't Correa just have his first day off in 3 weeks the other day? He does ride guys who are healthy and playing well.
  11. You would ride Ober to 110-120 pitches? In May? I don't know it was just last year while limiting him, his first full season, he still had to be shut down for a while towards the end. 104 was plenty good.
  12. Pablo, Ryan and Ober have each topped 100 pitches in their last starts. Pablo was let go that far even in a blowout. If Rocco has the horses and they're rolling, he let's them pitch. Ober's previous start he was pulled with 80 some pitches, but both he and Rocco said he was struggling that day. Edit: Oh and Paddack topped 100 too, which is the one I found a little surprising. He was far from efficient that day.
  13. Ya bro, cool spring evening fire and some may wine....
  14. Getting a good night's sleep is a good start, 🙂
  15. I'd love to give you a hug while wearing my new shirt!
  16. You gotta say the shirt was effective, we did score 8 Guess I'll have to keep it on Put some pants on that feller
  17. Good idea, we're far enough from Duluth that you can just see the halo of the "city" in the western sky
  18. Looks like it will be clear again. We'll get a bonfire going
