  1. This is true and why I think they need to limit him or...
  2. Excess leaks from the Pitching Pipeline® being used against us tonite.
  3. Gil is pronounced heel. Thought so.
  4. Gil acting like a chump as he walks off the mound, smash that guy
  5. You guys think this is hard try carpentry with the archaic imperial system. Fractions, aye my head hurts. I did buy my co-worker and myself metric tape measures, but I guess so far we've been too set in our ways to try a using them, lol.
  6. The above post and all the time posting about platoons by @Riverbrianhas brought me to a conclusion. It is established that right handers hit same side pitchers better than left handers do, probably due to repetition and familiarity. This front office acknowledges this by their intense platooning of left handed batters. They also tend to stock the farm with leftys. Why? If rightys are more versatile and platoon proof, why have more than 3 maybe 4 leftys in your regular lineup? Wouldn't right handed bats be more coveted?
  7. I'm glad it's Julien, he needs it. The man focused hard on his glove and it paid off, back to the bat Eddie.
  8. Another tough win against the crumbling dynasty, lol. A day off and a good frame of mind heading into the house of horrors. All that, Lewis' return and a 2 day break for Correa. Let git it!
  9. I don't want to pile on, but there is this from the Cedar Rapids Gazette; "CEDAR RAPIDS - And he played in the field, too. That might have been the best news for Luke Keaschall. The Cedar Rapids Kernels player has been limited to a designated hitter role the first week-plus of the Midwest League season with a balky elbow. He was second baseman for his club Sunday in its 4-2 win over Dayton at Veterans Memorial Stadium. Things went just fine. He was flawless fielding the baseball and proved his arm is good to go, including making a long and accurate throw from behind the second-base bag for the final out." I'm guessing the arm is fine. This is a guy I've been hyped on since last year. Good size and the guy is ripped. He looks like an athlete with a high ceiling to me, not a utility infielder. He plays with a lot of intensity. I think we have a fast mover that might get a taste as early as next season.
  10. I'm not looking for a freebie and definitely not asking the Pohlads to run the Twins as a non-profit hobby. I would like them to competently run the team. Choosing short term cash from a dubious and sinking business over an option that would bring their product to a wider audience seems like it could cause long term problems for their bottom line. The way people consume media has/is changing. Baseball's fan base is ageing and shrinking. This is a crucial juncture for the Pohlads and it looks from here that they have handled it about as poorly as imaginable.
  11. I agree that the throw was offline and high. I would also argue that is the beauty of not trying to make a perfect throw to the bag like in the past, but when you throw up the line and you have a guy like Correa, your margin for error is much greater. Instead of having to tag moving hand, you have a while body to aim for. Brilliant.
  12. The quality of Vazquez's throw was questioned in the game thread saying Correa made the play in spite of the throw being offline. I don't agree. They must work on that exact throw, up the line, closer to home plate. This seems new to me and quite an innovation. Obviously Correa is a tagging savant. I really only watch the Twins, are other teams doing this?
  13. If there is one thing I learned this year, is we have no clue what will happen. At least I don't. I said all spring that Julien was regression proof because he was "special". There you have it. Others, notably Bean I think, used actual stats to state why Julien was a regression candidate. I will just let the rest of the season wash over me....
  14. Keaschall is on the move. Note to the Twins, this is the infield prospect you do not trade. I don't get the comps with Schobel, they are both infielders, that's about it. This here is not a future MLB utility guy. Keaschall's got the tools and high ceiling. I think we have a fast mover here that will hit the ground running in AA.
  15. Julien finally got a call on that pitch on the outside corner keeping the plate appearance alive. Still livin on the edge
  16. Ryan hitting 97 now, likey
  17. Yeah Rocco "Quickhook" Baldelli, you know the guy that guided Sonny Gray to his most innings pitched since 2015. The guy that helped put tens of millions in Sonny's pocket, har dee har, good one.
  18. 80 pitches for Festa is a new development up from 60. They have him moving in the right direction and he looks on track for a second half call up.
