I had no problem with Fundy plunking Blaze. The bottom of the ninth in a blowout in the last game of the series was ideal timing. No more retaliation. No effect on the result of the game. Now it wouldn't be necessary if pitchers were warned after the first and a penalty assessed after that culminating with ejection. There is nearly no recourse the way it is now. The Twins have been hit at a very noticable rate lately with no retaliation until the bottom of the ninth last night.
Bailey faced the Mariners back in May in a game we went on to lose. He went 5 innings giving up 3 hits, 2 runs, 1 walk, 1 homer and 7 strikeouts.
Let's jump on Gilbert early just like last time.
Originally an international signing by Cleveland, after being traded to Detroit he was rushed to the majors at 22. Willi is talented, but maybe wasn't quite ready to put it together. This is one of those fortuitous moves for the Twins that helps offset some moves that turned out less well. With one more year of control it will be interesting to see if they try to lock him up for longer.
The unique usage of Raya can only mean there is a unique reason. He is the only one handled this way. There has to be a method to the madness. Why is it such a secret?
Maybe TD should start charging for emoji usage. First one per post is free, next one is 25¢, third one 50¢, 4th one 75¢ and so on. If we had to we could crowd source Peter.
@Ted Schwerzler highlighting the struggles of prospects is just as important. For example seeing that the formerly high ranking Salas still isn't hitting is meaningful. He was considered the cherry on top in the Arraez/Lopez trade. Give us the straight dope, we can handle it, lol
