  1. Maybe, but an anonymous poll of little value nonetheless.
  2. The poll to start with is a fluff piece with pretty much useless data. Many have then misinterpreted the results of the player's preferred destination, lol, and continue to do so. Now 4 guys reluctantly mention Correa as overrated. There is nothing to see here. Correa for his career has been 25% better than the league average of all hitters while playing one of the 3 most important positions on the field. He is a very good fielder, a great clubhouse leader, well spoken team representative and happens to play his best in the post-season. I'll take it.
  3. Kirilloff has the 8th most plate appearances on the team. He has been given a more than fair chance this year. If you wanna play in the bigs, you gotta perform when called upon.
  4. Larnach has a 115 OPS+ right now. So this year he has been consistently 15% better than the league average hitter. Not an all-star performance but a solid MLB regular. He could also get better. Larnach has adjusted. Miranda is at 118 OPS+, even better. He scuffled worse than Kirilloff during his sophomore season last year and has bounced back. Kirilloff and Wallner should not be written off yet. Sometimes patience is in short supply, lol. It was the right time to send Alex down.
  5. That is misleading. They were tied for 14th on that list with 3 other teams. The list was only 18 teams long. So middle of the pack, which is fitting. Not that the poll or list means anything. The MLB is predominantly Southern born US players and Latin players. The unique charms of this state are unknown to them. The pool of players who would vote for the Twins would likely be limited to players from the Midwest or players that had played here. You do see many players in all the sports set up shop here after experiencing what this area has to offer. Edit: I see I was ninja'd by the venerable Chpettit.
  6. Double thread Merged
  7. They should donate proceeds to clean up Minnesota's water polluted by agriculture. Pohlads, tap tap tap, is this on?
  8. At this point I'm neutral on Baldelli and whoever else is part of the team that comes up with some of these lineups. I do approve of how the pitching staff as a whole is handled. However I was happy watching this team down the stretch and in the playoffs last year. That was fun, right? You enjoyed that? They can only win the division they are in, correct? Lots of people are angry because they didn't sign Sonny Gray, in this thread there is a comment that we need a leader like him. Someone to throw chairs? You know they just might have taken down the Astros if Sonny had shown up on his day to pitch. I think that illustrates that it takes a whole team to win. If you are going to be unrealistic and just blame one person, that's when I will stop reading your content. To say they have disappointed the last 3 years is incorrect based on preseason prognostications. Complain all you want, but be accurate or you might not be taken seriously. At least by me.
  9. Man SWR sure is looking good. Still only 23 for a couple of months. What an asset. 5 more years of team control through his age 28 season. I know patience is a scarce commodity around here, 😂, but this Berrios trade thinger might just work out well. Looks like Martin has to step up to keep pace with Simeon. Git it
  10. Stop reading here ^^ I mean seriously man, what the hell are you talking about? If you were disappointed last year, gotta be hunkered down in the championship or nothing bunker, eh?
  11. it takes endurance to follow this team
  12. Watching the Twinks get bowled over by the Unmentionable a thought on what this team is missing; it was noticable when Wallner was rolling last season that he was a gorilla out there. Running over the glass jawed New Jackie Robinson and just having a physical presence out there. This team needs an edge and it just may be on their own farm.
  13. IDK Lee has a quick move and strong throw from short, good instincts. Yes maybe he's not fast but he can at least fill in at short in the bigs.
  14. Wallner is finally getting it together, hopefully Eddie does the same in quicker fashion.
  15. Ya think these Yankees pitchers are a little more relaxed tossing in front of that stacked lineup? So many times the Twin's pitchers are holding on to a goose egg in the 3-4 inning waiting for the lineup to do something.
  16. Man I guess I'm not the only one high on Keaschall. Enters the BA top 100 at 66, nice! Zebulon getting some love as well. The Twin's farm is gaining strength as Falvey holds back on his itchy trigger finger, lol.
