  1. Is there a position in sports where age matters less? But then again the contact is the problem.
  2. Keaschall has got my attention. People have tended to compare him to Schoebel which I don't see. 5'9" 170 vs 6' 200+. Keaschall can hit and looks like an athlete to me. Former wrestler. I see a fast mover.
  3. Whatever happens this draft has me and others I know excited enough to watch it. As much as Kirko grew on me, he had his chance and now is the time to take a swing and see what O'Connel can do with it. This could be a fun year. Darnold is a wildcard.
  4. Sitting at home in the DR during baseball season likely provided the necessary motivation. No regrets here, the Twins gave him every chance. Nothing to do but wish him well now. He looks like quite the athlete right now.
  5. As posted elsewhere separating SWR and Paddack is a good thing. Let's not burn the pen.
  6. Maybe the Twins actually learned from watching Bundy and Archer go back to back and burn the pen. Put the reliable Ober in between your two least reliable starters to hopefully give the pen a break. If they all pitch well even better. With the current competition they've got a great chance.
  7. I have a feeling that one of the top four will drop, but, again, what do I know? Again I'll say I don't think anyone has proven they know which quarterback in a given year will pop. Sure the odds are slightly better the higher you pick. I also wouldn't be surprised if all four top QBs are gone by eleven, they pick Pennix (or Nix), say that is who they wanted all along, then that QB proves them right (or wrong, lol). Best case for me still is a QB and a DT in the first round. They have a gaping canyon in the middle of their slate of picks and a talent deficit on the roster.
  8. You are acting like one of these teams knows which quarterbacks will succeed and which won't. On draft Day prices will be inflated. Any advantage you think you have gained by trading for high picks in this draft you think is deep will be lost by paying them. Surely the astute picker will let others flail about. Edit: What do I know? They could trade up with multiple firsts, get, Maye or whomever and ride him to the promised land without anyone remembering what they gave up. I also agree that the middling approach has gotten them nowhere, it is time for a splash.
  9. I didn't hear anyone mention veal, except yourself, sir. Edit: have I been calved?
  10. Let this one come to you. You've already invested in what you think is a deep draft. Let others reach and over pay. Pick up the best available at both picks.
  11. Exactly, don't trade up
  12. Ideally they stand pat and one of the top four QBs drops to eleven, then a DT at 23. This will be a fun one to watch and maybe the predicted hot run on QBs isn't so hot.
  13. Stack em up! Just imagine the stress on the pitcher if he had to switch gears and pitch to a lefty. The Twin's front office are too nice of guys to do that to a person.
  14. That's exactly what I got out of it. The occasional American League Central crown, LOL. The Minnesota Twins clubhouse, "great place to hang out"
  15. Obviously we are all to blame. If we didn't watch, would professional baseball even exist?
  16. I just spent a week with the family in Florida visiting my father. The boys and I golfed 18 holes with the old machine (Dad). The three of us northerners barely made it to the 19th hole, dragged down by the oppressive heat and humidity. The 87 year old Floridian just cruised while pacing us all on the scorecard. I was going to say that with Pablo being from Venezuela and Fedde from North America, the cold might effect them differently. Then I checked and Fedde is from Las Vegas. Go figure, 😂.
  17. How is his velocity looking? In highlights of his first outings he was hitting 98, but in this last outing it appeared to be more 95-96.
