  1. So now Molitor not only calls for the bunt too much he has created a culture of bunting. A bunting cult.
  2. Didn't get to watch I too was drinking! This team looks like they got it but we haven't seen them beat the teams they will face in the playoffs. Cleveland will be telling. Good chance for them to prove they can win and gain confidence. Man I want to see em take out the Yanks! Since I missed it how did Moya look? Aside from the usual quirkiness
  3. Mejia getting hurt and not finishing off hitters are the red flags for me. Still he's a rookie, was a steal acquisition and I predict he is a rotation fixture going forward, so I'm with his inclusion. The previous front office's share of the credit for this resurgence? With all those high draft picks due to sustained poor performance even a blind squirrel... Yes they stumbled upon some talent but didn't appear to be able to develop it.
  4. Rodgers pulls through for extra out! Huevos
  5. Durability? hope he doesn't get burned out
  6. Koehlersgot a hunk a burnin love thing going on
  7. C'mon this is nonsense. The old saying there is someone for everyone holds true. We would all have baseball in common but from the comments it is apparent we have a wide variety of types here that love baseball. Everyone would probably agree that Gibson appears a bit pinched at times but we would all also gain new respect for a guy who gets knocked down hard like he has this year if he bounces back. I'd he does start having fun out there and develops some toughness I'll be on board. This is a fun group and it may just loosen ole Gibby up a little.
  8. "but look at the Trib less and less, though some of that is the pay wall situation" Achem, clear your browser history, oops did I say that out loud?
  9. I agree if you read the various MSM daily reports Beradino's always has some nugget not found elsewhere. LEN3 needs more love IMO I like his tone and think he would be fun watch a game with and tip a few!
  10. Well the first round pick was quite a bit better than average or poor during that stretch, definitely looks the part and appears to have some talent. People complain they gave up on Ortiz so quickly and Gibby? It's been hard for some to come to the conclusion that's it's time to cut bait. If it keeps going the way it has and he shows up in the rotation next year then I will be steamed.
  11. Dialled in! He was probably pretty shook up for awhile. He is showing his fortitude now. I like that the FO can be plain spoken at times. Levine said Polanco was a second baseman but if nothing else he would benefit from his time at short. I think his future is bright.
  12. When the young man is on he has two out pitches. Got em with the fastball (low or high) got em with the curve. Super fun to watch. As Doc said above the future of the pen is bright and I also agree we should sign one proven arm. The one thing i may not agree with is Pressley. He's got the stuff but maybe not the make up, we'll see
  13. Busenitz, Duffy and Hildenberger ah it's about time! Let the young guys roll!
  14. Enns was further along and entrenched in AAA when we got him.
  15. I am sure Belisle is enjoying this run. Busenitz on the other hand!? He even got teased with a little warm up last night. Molitor has used Hildy more which is good but this was a perfectly set up opportunity to burn some pitches and get another look at what you got with Busenitz. Maybe the FO feels the same and this could be a little nail in Molly's coffin. Excited to see what we have in Enns
  16. Mauer gets derided on many levels including his personality. Playing first base has been an opportunity to watch him interact with other players and he gets nothing but smiles. The guy might just be likeable despite his public persona. He also is super smooth in the field and makes it look easy.
  17. where the heck is Busenitz ? Hildy has poise. Seems to have an unique but versatile arsenal. Is like to see more of him. Rodgers has been rocked but he made a couple of nice pitches today. Got pulled at the right time. I really want to see more of these young guys the rest of the way now. Wins and losses are of less importance now.
  18. We all might learn a thing or two watching these whiz kids operate
  19. For me it's the moves with an apparent plan, decisiveness and the willingness to drop some dough. Refreshing
