A VERY well written article... thanks!

Time to kick off the training wheels and welcome Buck back to his rightful home in center field. This will make the team better (and more specifically the line up). Buck was never, is not, and will never be a good candidate for permanent DH. I will gladly take 80-100 games of real Buck over 150 games of bubble wrapped DH Buck. Enough already. Ferraris were not meant to sit in the garage (even Farris Bueller knew that)

Of course he deserved boos. It is perfectly OK for fans to express their displeasure with his play in a harmless fashion. ...As for yelling disparaging personal comments or throwing things... that is of course NOT OK. Correa is a big boy, he can handle justified fan frustration... as he indeed told us himself.

And this is why it was who AK would replace, not if he should be called up. A healthy AK is a game changer in a way that can be matched by few in the organization.... if he can stay healthy... (this should be assumed at the end of all comments for at least the rest of the year)

Polanco to lead off please... The Twins do not need extra Kepler at bats each game
  6. D.C Twins
Correa is being paid to be a star. He is not playing like a star. Over half of Buxton's value is his defense. He is not playing defense. We need to put more responsibility on our designated difference makers as opposed to focusing on the level of play for our replacement level players.

Congrats to Kirilloff for making it back to the MLB! And Dereck! A healthy Kirilloff needs to be in the MLB plain and simple.... the only real discussion is who goes down and it looks like the FO agreed with the majority of us ya-hoos on TD for once! (end of days ?!)
  8. D.C Twins
    Raya Raya-ke-a-me happy!
  9. D.C Twins
Yes. he. is. The only question is how good he can be and if he can safely build up his 'pitch count'
  10. D.C Twins
This offence needs help. Kepler and Larnach are currently the weak links. Larnach has options... he goes down to see if Krilloff can be as good as we all think he can be (when healthy) .... as long as Krilloff is ready to play 5 games a week.
  11. D.C Twins
Should have kept Coulombe... which was stated by many of us in real time....
  12. D.C Twins
Moran go to and stay in AAA until he proves consistent control. Without demonstrating control, MLB batters will not be compelled to chase his changeup
  13. D.C Twins
    Woof!
  14. D.C Twins
Cossetti needs to be moved up. He's 23 years old.... no need to wait too long to see what we have.
  15. D.C Twins
I think it is safe to say that getting ride of the shift did not solve Kepler's hitting problem....🙄
  16. D.C Twins
I wish Maeda a fast recovery but the one silver lining is that it is.... Ober Time! (I'm bullish like many on his potential) I'm actually ready to end the Moran experiment faster than the Pagan experiment this year....
  17. D.C Twins
This! I'll add the following... is he playing injured again? What are his numbers since that big spill he took? (post concussion? can't remember if he it his head but seem to remember he did) Something is not right in my opinion. If it isn't, the Twins need to sit him down an let him get right. Please do not repeat the months of injured play he had last year!

"But the lineup does need some fixing, and getting Buxton into center to free up the DH spot here and there would be a simple incremental improvement." This! Taylor is NOT a starting CF but his IS a great 4th outfielder. As I've stated numerous times... The return of a healthy Kirilloff should be considered a luxury this season and not part of any plan or strategy because chronic wrist injuries are horrible for doing one of the hardest things in sports. I wish him the absolute best, but remain very concerned for the long run. I L-O-V-E the starting rotation performance and moxie! (and Pagan is getting people out! ... I just hope that does not signal the end of days :)

Thanks for clearing up the concern! I in no way intended 'Baldi' to be a derogatory nickname referencing his hair but I now see how that could be the interpretation. I will not use that nickname going forward!
  20. D.C Twins
Miranda will find his way to 1B sooner rather than later (I don't think Krill's wrist is going to hold long term but I hope I'm wrong)

My hairline stress fracture healed up years ago with rest and recovery. How kind of you to inquire though!
  22. D.C Twins
Good points Seth! More specifically I should have used the term 'command' (which I think often dictates RP variability year over year) instead of 'locked in.' I worry that Sands will not have the command that Coulombe will have this season and therefore not be as useful despite better velo and spin rate. But, I'm definitely not a baseball scout so we shall see (and I hope that I'm wrong)

Ugh... most of you are spot on but far more diplomatic than me. Major Blunder by FO. You have to figure out which relievers are 'on' from year to year and latch onto them. Coulolombe appeared to be pretty locked in this year and certainly had more upside than Sands. Dobnak is still around for long relief help and not going anywhere. There is no need to cling to Sands. Coulombe or Hoffman+ 3mil saved and utilized for trade deadline and/or future signings also probably >>> Pagan. Painful decisions...

I hope Gray continues to hold Baldi accountable throughout the year. Not all pitchers are the same and not all starts by each pitcher are the same. You can't use one algorithm. Some days pitchers will have more stamina and easy/sustained velo while feeling goooood. Let them roll through the 3rd and (GASP) 4th time through the order when that occurs. I hope to see a little more situational awareness in game by Baldi this year with accountability provided by players and management if he cannot or will not improve in this area.
