  1. My guess is that he feels like "YES PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE TRADE ME!"
  2. "keep their competitive window open"?!?! For #1 overall draft picks?
  3. I love everything about the Wind Surge team this year... including their nickname!
  4. We beat broken down Texas by a run who out imploded us with two wild pitches.... just sayin' The big take away that Cruz is maintaining maximum trade value!
  5. Worst case (and exceedingly likely) scenario: Twins keep him until FA and lose him.....followed by the inevitable internal leak that they 'offered him a great contract that veeeeeeery competitive and juuuuuust below what he took elsewhere' to save face. Shame on them if they think we are dumb enough to buy into such a scenario
  6. Good to see that everyone is catching up to the reality that Buxton and Berrios do not want to be here and 100% will leave in free agency. It's FO malpractice not to trade before the deadline to maximize return. Again, I WANT to keep them... but often time in life your options unfortunately do not include what you want
  7. 1. Duran 2. Lewis (I was actually tempted to drop him lower; Does the SSS of the AFL outweigh his atrocious A+ season prior? And now a year missed to injury? I have become VERY skeptical of Lewis's future but hope to proven wrong 3. Balazovic 4. Miranda 5. Winder Don't know where to put Celestino, but I am impressed by how well he has carried himself in his waaaay-to-early-call-up-due-to-injuries
  8. Good Job Rocco! Now THAT is how you use Shoemaker... during 10 run rule games.... See you don't admit it during press conferences, but you ARE learning!
  9. Rocco makes decisions for the future at the expense of the present. A worrier instead of a decisive leader Just because he has tons of data doesn't mean that he can interpret it well and/or quickly during the flow of the game. He cannot. I would have paid good money to be in Cruz's head when Rocco "let the other shoemaker drop" for the last two innings of a close/tied game. I'm sure there where some great expletives strung together followed by an added sense of urgency to play well so as to showcase himself for a trade to get the !@#$ out of this clown car.
  10. If they have to tie or lead the game before they send him back out there.... why in the hell did they send him out when they were behind in the first place? Rocco 'thinks' his way into a pretzel on a daily basis. He was worried about extra innings so he decided to roll out a player which would end the game on time by getting blown out?! Dude, just because you have a lot of data doesn't mean you know what to do with it....and I'm looking at you with a slow head shake Rocco
  11. Rocco thought that if the shoemaker fits.....
  12. Waaaay to Gooooo Roccooooooo! Shoemaker pitching the last two innings in relief in a tie game.... You totally have outdone yourself. Even with your goofy managing, I could not have anticipated THAT one. Rocco's managing is like a box of chocolates..... (It would have made more sense to bring in The Turtle to pitch relief than Shoemaker... and I'm not kidding)
  13. ummm.....yeah....no and..... wait a minute...what was my other point.... oh yeah....NO!
  14. When there is a systemic failure across almost all players of effort, production, and fundamentals.... it is a failure of leadership. Rocco has failed miserably this season.
  15. Trade for a marginal prospect at the deadline that will never see the light of day in the MLB but will save to FO money.... that is what WILL happen, so not much thought about what we would like to see happen necessary
  16. Oh, I didn't mention Sano, because he is worthless to us AND any other team. He will be on our MLB roster through next year due to money owed on his contract (then we can eat his 2023 2+ million buy out), but that doesn't mean that anyone has to waste a solitary brain cell projecting his future from here on out.
  17. None of those listed bring back anything that moves the needle. To get something good, you have to give something good. If we are serious about improving the future of the the team, we have to move Buxton and Berrios. They are GONE in 1.5 years. Unless you think we are going to win the WS next year (we are not) then you HAVE to move them for value NOW. Frankly, I'd also try to sell high on Rodgers for the right price as well, because he will be more expensive next year and then gone in FA. I'd actually keep Palanco, Kepler, and Arrez because they could be better next year, are under control, and we'd be selling low right now. If we are smart, we do a minny rebuild in minnesota... now targeting the widow of Duran, Larnach, Jeffers, Krilloff, Lewis, our top 5 pick (hopefully an elite pitcher from college), Miranda... etc. Suck it up and trade anyone of value that won't be here in 3 years anyway!
  18. Seth, are they still doing the half season standings for a playoff spot? Is it possible that Miranda is staying to finish out that 'half season' Otherwise, I have no idea why he has not been promoted. This has been consistent and sustained excellence.
  19. Well....let's have more fun with math to get the complete picture... His AVERAGE exit velocity with strikeouts was (96.5+0+0+0)/4 = 24.125 mph* There, I knew that modern statistics could still explain a crappy performance! *does not include 5th AB; If anyone an find it, feel free to recalculate; the average will still be bad
  20. Honest question... how was shoemakers WPA not - infinity.... What is the worst a WPA could be... wouldn't that 'effort' have to be it?!
  21. I would consider any and all trades.... gut this team like a dead fish
  22. Duran... I know it is way more pressure that you deserve, but please understand that you represent at least 80% of the meager hope remaining in this organization....so starts like this are a bit of a gut punch ☹️
