  1. It would surprise me if the Twins aren’t listening. I’m sure they are, and, depending on where they are in the next couple of weeks, they could pull the trigger on a trade if the deal is sweet enough. But I, at this point, don’t want to be actively seeking to trade him, but I’m listening.
  2. Imo, if we see either in CF this season, it will be Kepler, but defensively, at this point in his career, I don’t think it would be good. And I don’t think we see Lewis in CF at all this season, however, I wouldn’t be surprised if during the off-season something comes of that.
  3. https://www.twincities.com/2023/05/15/royce-lewis-takes-next-step-forward-in-rehab-assignment/ I think his comments are pretty clear that he doesn’t want Royce playing the OF. To me that doesn’t mean ever and forever, but I don’t think it will happen this season. I don’t know if it was a response to the Twins saying he’d be in the IF or if discussions were had behind the scenes. Kinda sounds like the latter, not that Boras was dictating anything, but I could see him having discussions with the Twins in the best interests of his client. Again, to me, doesn’t say to me that Lewis is forever an infielder, but I don’t think he’s going to spend any time in the OF this season. Next season is a different story.
  4. Lewis’ agent said something early this season or during ST about him not playing in the OF. Don’t remember the exact quote but it was clear that that wasn’t an option. Not sure if it was for this season or for always but the Twins have honored that. And Kepler has stated numerous times about not liking CF and that he’s uncomfortable out there. I don’t think either player has stated outright or publicly that they refuse to play CF but it’s been clear they don’t want to and those wishes have been honored.
  5. Exactly, which is why he isn’t being traded
  6. So, if this is the prognosis, who trades for him, even if he agrees to be traded?
  7. Do you think he's going to be traded or released or something?
  8. I don’t think they can give us absolutes at this point. And it’s frustrating, I’m completely there with you. They are trying various things to get to that absolute but obviously just aren’t there yet. As 9/12 pointed out above, after listening to the interview, there are a lot of people involved in the discussion and no one entity is making decisions alone, without lots of input. And I get that without absolutes, posters speculate, it’s the nature of it. However, some posters take that speculation and wondering to levels of conspiracy theories, and that gets to be more annoying; for me, anyway. It’s natural to wonder, when we see Bux running the base paths, to ask, ‘Why not CF?’ Our perception tells us something, but we have to remember, that perception isn’t the whole story, and I don’t think anyone really knows the whole story at this point in time. But I do think they are looking at everything and trying a course of action to try and get the best possible result, even if that course is so dang frustrating to all of us.
  9. Stop telling people they hate someone when you can’t formulate a rebuttal of your own.
  10. Oh good Lord. Seriously? It wasn’t that long ago people complained they weren’t up soon enough, ahead of others, and now we are complaining that it’s up too soon? Come on now. This is just looking for things to complain about when there are real things to complain about. Get out of the rut.
  11. All I’m saying as those you listed won’t bring back much of anything but you listen to offers and see. I’d be surprised if we retain Gray or he’d already be extended. Gray wants to try the FA market and is going to get a bigger and longer deal than we will offer a pitcher. If we are going to sell, Gray will be sold and should be. He is the only one who will bring back anything of value.
  12. You and I will need to agree to disagree.
  13. If you are going to be a seller, then you trade Gray and maybe Polanco, too, if he’s healthy. Agree on the others but you won’t get much for them. It’s not about ‘getting rid’ of players you don’t want, it’s about getting value for those who are worth something
  14. Agreed that relievers do give up runs. He’s young, and still phenomenal, but has blown a few games this year and why he’s not an ALL-Star.
  15. And that’s the game and why Duran isn’t an All-Star
  16. I hate these announcers … worse than Bremer with these long shots
  17. Didn’t that happen to Kepler not that long ago?
  18. Wow, the pitcher warming up for the O’s is huuuuge
  19. I set up her MLB app on her TV and showed her how to use it (she’s out of market), but she figured out the AppleTV thing all on her own
  20. His face when he left the field … he looked not happy … he wanted a CGSO, too
  21. At one point I realized the game was five minutes behind. Her internet is part of her rent but I’m going to suggest she ask the office in her building to see if something else can be done about it … it is AWFUL
  22. My 94-yr old mother figured out how to stream AppleTV on her TV, but her internet is so awful the game keeps pausing.
