  1. "Their outfield situation remains in flux, with injuries and underperformance plaguing the roster. Kepler’s ability to play all three outfield positions would give manager Rocco Baldelli flexibility—if Kepler is willing to spend some time in center field." Amazing how much perspective ya get my merely changing two words in a sentence.
  2. I think it's a great idea. Just don't think it will go far enough. Why limit it to players on the active roster? Wouldn't the Giants love to throw Barry Bonds out there in a couple key spots? I'm sure Tony O's got a couple good swings left. Rod Carew's got some heart problem's but he's not blind yet. And why not dead guys? Did you see Aaron Judge struggle in the World Series. Babe Ruth could have gotten the same 3 RBI as Judge did. And why limit it to your own players. Let a manager call on a player from the other team. Aaron Boone could send Freddie Freeman to the dish instead of Judge. And to keep it on the up and up, if the guy from the other team makes an out, his team loses automatically. See we just added another component to shortening game times as well. This is gonna be great.
  3. Sure. I agree with you. Especially if they can get that veteran to play for free. Think Butch Wynegar late 70s.
  4. Yup. More production in those 4 games than the two # 1 draft picks that replaced him had in 4 YEARS. That's baseball.
  5. They replaced him with Kiriloff and Larnach. SHOULD have been a slam dunk. Wasn't. Not only did they not have 15 minutes of post season fame they didn't even have 15 minutes of post-season. Look at the post season numbers since he left: Rosario: 24 hits, 11 runs, 11 RBI. Kiriloff & Larnach combined post season hits, runs & RBI: ZERO. But who really cares about post-season?
  6. Rosario post season since he left: 24 hits, 11 runs scored, 11 RBI, a ring and an NCLS MVP. Kiriloff and Larnach combined on all of those things: ZERO.
  7. And in what way have Kiriloff and Larnach proven worthy of getting rid of him? At the end of the day they moved on from him to save $8 million. I'm old enough to remember when such a move would have met with universal derision from the fan base. A much wiser course of action would have been to keep him as one of four OF that first season, along with Buxton, Larnach & Kiriloff. Don't even bother bringing up your advanced metric of choice where Rosario is concerned. Some things can't be measured by them. Rosario's ability to give the Twins something they needed when they needed it most is one of them. You want to use stats, fine. Since leaving Minnesota he has 24 post-season hits, 11 runs scored and 11 RBI. Kiriloff and Larnach combined post-season hits, runs and RBI since they were kept over Rosario: ZERO
  8. These types of articles are much better if one can pull up the article where anyone took a stance that the team made a poor decision at the time of the trade. Nobody did.
  9. Same reason they parted with Eddie Rosario. They gambled and lost. It happens.
  10. And I guarantee you that one year ago not a single person on this website would have thought that at ANY point in the 2024 season would the Twins have had 3 of the top 24 starters in the big leagues.
  11. Your second sentence speaks volumes. It is the reason Duran will be gone quickly in his first opportunity to be a free agent. Not sure what the right answer is with Jax but overlooking a player's earning ability is not likely something a player forgets.
  12. Not my concern. When Ryan was healthy they had 3 of the top 24 starters in baseball. Nobody else was better.
  13. Should have been answered in the article with no need to ask.
  14. Did I at any point say the were the best top 3? READ what I wrote. I simply said how many teams have a better top 3? But if you REALLY want to look at it go look at the numbers AT TIME RYAN WENT DOWN. All three were among the two dozen best starters in baseball at that time.

  17. Dude. Did I say anything about the entire rotation? TOP three. That's all I said. Before Ryan went down how many teams had a better top 3?
  18. Is that REALLY what I said. The question is how many would you take over the Twins 1-3. If healthy our 1-3 is as good as anybody. Did NOT say better. Said as good.
