  1. You don't get better when your best players are playing somewhere else.
  2. How is the league going to prevent analytics from changing anything?
  3. We need a guy to complement with our holdovers, Miranda & Julien, who can hit lefties. Lamont did so in 2024 over a small sample size but I doubt that would hold up over a full season. Hard pass. Bite the budget and sign Pete Alonzo to a 1 year Scott Boras special. Just sayin
  4. You are probably correct in your speculative makeup of the roster. However, I'd be shocked if there is no late winter surprise as has become a tradition around these parts. A first baseman who could hit left handed pitching comes to mind as a want. I know it's a pipe dream but until he signs elsewhere I'm going to beat the drums about Scott Boras being Pete Alonzo's agent and remind folks about how he seems to have some magic spell over the Twins that makes them shake up the budget numbers on a short term deal. Just sayin
  5. If all of that were really the case wouldn't teams be beating down our doors trying to trade for a $6 Million all-star infielder?
  6. Just let Larnach concentrate on hitting crooked pitches. And let Wallner deal with the fact that Max Kepler's not going to be around if he decides to lay an egg at the beginning of the season.
  7. Worth noting: Alonzo's agent is Scott Boras. He has been known to sweet talk the Twins into spending money they didn't know they could afford. Just sayin
  8. I thought we had a plethora of internal options?
  9. You basically said that trading away Lopez would have allowed us to be in on Walker. Pretty much the theme of your comment.
  10. If two of the three don't it's gonna be a long summer around these parts.
  11. Walker at $14 Million per sounds lovely. Of course he signed for $20 million per. So you're saying we could have traded away our best SP for a slightly above average 1B? Sign me up.
  12. I'd like to see Miranda play somewhere as well. Just not sure that somewhere is here or with a fielder's glove.
  13. I'm still intrigued by a 65 year old George Bell's fit within the budget...
  14. I've been ranting about the Twins getting rid of Rosario from the day they did. Still waiting for an analytic that measures heart. I agree with just about everything you said except one thing: I have no illusions that a different ownership group will fix anything. Different, sure. Fixed: TBD.
  15. The Ishbias have owned the Suns for just shy of 2 years. For those of us old enough to be considered dinosaurs, think back to the first 8 years the Pohlads owned the Twins. Things move fast. And not always in the direction you want them to.
  16. George Bell is 65 years old. Santana seems far more likely to defy Father Time. Although Bell might fit the budget better.
  17. Put Laureano's 2024 numbers side by side with Eddie Rosario's numbers in his last year as a Twin and try to guess which is which.
  18. Reminds me of when I rant on here about the fact that Eddie Rosario brought intangible things to the Twins that no analytic could measure and then I get bombarded with a dozen analytic arguments. While Eddie is wearing World Series rings.
