  1. I just don't get the Correa signing then......You sign a guy like that, in his prime, you maximize that prime, otherwise, just save the $30M a year. So much fun being a Twins fan
  2. Feels salary dumpy/roster clearing....depending on how you feel about DeScal. However, I know next to nothing about the MiLB, so we shall see how it all pans out.
  3. You evil genius...well done.
  4. Watching him stare at a ball over his head yesterday, that ended up hitting the base of the wall in RCF, and not even move....I've had enough of him. I get it might not have been able to be caught, but he literally just watched it. Then, a couple batters later, he makes his diving catch on the low liner. I've just seen enough, and am ready for a change.
  5. This hits different. (Yes, I am also listening to Tswift)
  6. Yeah, I'd be fine with this. Get Lewis going in AAA
  7. I was tempted to say Kepler....but he isn't a disappointment. He is performing exactly how I expected. It's MGMT's fault for not dealing with him in the offseason
  8. Yeah, bummer on the final results, but the process was actually what Twins should have done....trade prospects for higher end pitching.
  9. Emilo is a little bit like my CyberTruck order. You keep holding on to hope that it turns out to be bad ass....But in reality, it's never gonna happen.
  10. I can understand the Twins reasoning behind it...but guessing no way Lewis would be open to it. He literally is at his lowest value. Perhaps revisiting next year makes sense for him.
  11. I think the one thing that kills me most about the lack of anything substantial this offseason, is that the FO seems to be punting on another one of Buxton's prime years. To me, that is the biggest offense. I get he is hurt often, but when he is not, he is a game changer in his prime. Last year sucked., and he was 28. He is 29 this year, and punting that season means they will have literally wasted his best years. That sucks.
  12. Some things never change. Twins should TOTALLY sign a veteran 5th starter so they can block their MiLB pitchers longer. We all know this is going to be a rebuild year. Let's see what the pitching pipeline can finally do
  13. I appreciate your optimism here, but the "hope for a tide turning season" feels very on brand for the Twins. Why go out and create your own fate, when you can sit back and hope?!?
  14. If they make the World Series, and Sonny Gray is the #1 starer, that means they won some playoff series!! I'll take that all day!! I mean, eventually, yes, gotta get better to win a World Series, but this team has been ass for so long, I just want a playoff series win to start with.
  15. Oh, totally. That was more of a rhetorical.
  16. If Falvine came in with no Plan B, do we really want them in charge of the pivot?!?!
  17. Yeah, seems very pennywise and pound foolish to constantly ignore FA's and use prospects to acquire talent. I get there are outliers, and examples to the contrary, but this FO has been pretty much "wait out the market, try to get a bargain or last man standing, if not, we can flip prospects". That seems like a sketchy strategy, especially when you can literally acquire talent for just $$$ in FA, and use your prospects as cheap labor. Obviously there is a balance.....but this never swimming in the deep end gets old
  18. Yankees literally don't need to dump contracts. They are the Yankees. They print money.
