  1. Miguel Cordero is in his age-16 season? Doesn't baseball have any child labor laws? With almost all young players, the common question is if he's old enough to vote. But with Cordero, you need to ask if he's ever driven a car! This is a name to track.
  2. Those are your top "pitchers" for June? I think they might be hitters (sort of). However, I do agree that the life Lewis brings to the Twins give him the edge over everyone else,
  3. To The Minor League Recap Staff Please stop highlighting Wallner's achievements in the headlines. It is so depressing to see that day after day while the Twins' keep trotting out .200 batters. It's great to see all the SBs in the minors. Hopefully some of that reaches the Twins.
  4. I thought I read somewhere that Baldelli had a meeting and that was followed by a "players only" meeting. As a famous president once said, "I may have misremembered".
  5. Because the meeting was "players only", I would assume no coaches were allowed to sit in.
  6. Nice game by Lopez. Great trade by the front office to get him. Got rid of Arraez. He's 2 for 12 in his last three games. Go Bandwagon!! 😇
  7. If you like Castro, then he's back on team. Unless, of course, he needs to be included in a trade to get the prospects you want.
  8. The Twins will get swept by the Orioles but it won't end the season for them. By that is only because they are contractually obligated to complete the season. The should have a large sign on their home page that reads: FOR SALE Jorge Polanco Joey Gallo Max Kepler Sonny Gray Kenta Madea Michael A. Taylor Emilio Pagan Christian Vasquez Kyle Farmer Willie Castro Donovan Solano ANY REASONABLE OFFER WILL BE Accepted If, from all the names above, the Twins can pick up some young, talented AA and AAA players, I would be happy. Those that no one wants can be benched, DFA'd, or used sparingly as starters. Time to start the transformation to a solid team. (One other thing. DON'T DRAFT ANOTHER POSITION-LESS SLUGGER!)
  9. Oops. My mistake. I meant to have Wallner in RF and Kirilloff at 1B. By the time my thought travelled from my brain to my fingers, I forgot Wallner. I'm old and losing it quicker than a Duran fastball.
  10. I would like to see an outfield of Contreras in RF, Stevenson in CF, Kirilloff in LF, And Williams a 1B. Conrtreras, Stevenson, and Williams can hardly do worse than Gallo, Taylor and Kepler. See what they can do for the rest of the season.
  11. This article certainly was depressing. I guess I'll go do some lawn maintenance to lift my spirits.
  12. That would be a good start only if a lot more changes happen over the next 30 days. Sell, sell, sell.
  13. For what it's worth, Keith Law released his latest mock draft. He has the Twins selecting Jacob Gonzales, a shortstop from the University of Mississippi who he says is a "very solid player for what he is, but with limited potential for more". That sounds like a waste of a #5 draft pick.
  14. I've been saying that for two years. I would rather watch rookies with energy than veterans who are lackadaisical.
  15. He may replace Michael A Taylor as the Buxton doppelganger. If he can hit .230 with a little power, and steal bases, the Twins would have $3.5M extra to put towards a relief pitcher.
  16. In the opening paragraph, you say the Twins have two representatives in the Futures game. Later, you say Festa is the only representative. Which is it?
  17. Thrown out who? Or did you mean "would have been thrown out? Proofread, proofread, proofread.
  18. From what little I've seen of Lewis, what I like best is his hustle. Stretching singles to doubles, doubles to triples, scoring from first on a base hit, etc. can ignite a team. Glad he's back - to stay (I hope).
  19. If this article doesn't place a jinx on Duran, I don't know what will.
  20. Please proof read your comments before submitting. This short paragraph took far too long to translate into English.
  21. How about an outside the box idea? Lewis to CF, Kirilloff to RF, and Buxton to 1B. 3B could be covered by Farmer (or Miranda if his hitting ability returns.
  22. I thought this article was about the question of if the Twins CAN get better at the deadline. I think the question should be "Should The Twins Try To Get Better at the Deadline?" I would prefer to see the Twins make available for real contenders: Gallo, Kepler, Polanco, Gordon, Castro, Solano, Thielbar, J. Lopez. If any contender makes a decent offer (AAA, or top level AA players), go for it, switch gears to a youth movement, and look forward to 2024. I prefer watching teams that hustle, take extra bases, try to get hits, etc. rather than swing for the fences and then walk back to the dugout. Boring.
  23. Teel and the Virginia Cavaliers were eliminated from the CWS last weekend.
  24. Time to drop Wallner down to Wichita! He was 0-3 and his average is under .300. Good thing the Twins have a strong OF.
