  1. Be patient. It will happen. Cruz can only spend so much money in his lifetime. But Cruz should never waste his last chance to win a world series, have fun with the Twins staff and players, who adore him, and mentor Sano and others and leave a legacy. He will be back.
  2. Does anyone who is willing to post here, know why Simmons left his team before the season was over last season, which was also a prelude to a Simmons' free agency?
  3. I just hope that Simmons and Buck don't collide running at 50 miles per hour. Those two will be fun to watch and appreciated by the pitchers.
  4. What are the different requirements for playin LF as opposed to playing RF, other than the throws to 3B?
  5. A Also Polanco has a team friendly contract.
  6. I appreciate this article, however, none of those trades would spell F.U.N. for me. I want to watch Arraez hit .400 as a Twin.
  7. I'm interested in why the worst fielding SS in MLB will be an upgrade in fielding at 2B over Arraez? Was Arraez that bad at 2B the last 2 years? I understand that Polanco's lack of arm strength will not be as big of a problem at 2B, and he will have fewer fielding chances at 2B than at SS, but that does not help him be > than Arraez would be at 2B. I don't think Polanco should be at 3B nor SS nor in LF, and I agree that 2B would be Polanco's best position and that Arraez would be a better Super Utility player than Polanco, but these factors still do not have anything to do with making Polanco be an improvement in fielding at 2B over Arraez. It is my contention that the fielding at 2B may have just gotten worse, as well as the fielding in LF, SS, and 3B when Arraez is in one of those 3 positions. .I believe 2B is Arraez's best position, just as it is Polanco's best position. Friends, the Twins have 2 below average to average fielding second basemen, who are really good hitters and who will be valuable assets to the 2021 World Champion. Minnesota Twins. You heard it here first.
  8. Matthew, Thank you for these, and prior, updates. I have enjoyed them and I have enjoyed the way in which this information has been presented to us. .
  9. Instead of having Polanco playing in the shift in the area where the batter is most likely to hit the ball, the Twins will have Simmons playing in the part of the field where statistics, according to numerous variables, indicate the ball is most likely to be hit. That is a major defensive improvement.
  10. Can you tell I am excited?
  11. The Twins just signed a huge improvement to the pitching staff...starters and relievers. I could be a super pitcher with Simmons at SS and Buck in CF and Donaldson at 3B and Kepler in RF.
  12. I have been advocating this for the entire offseason. Thank you FO. Thank you owners. Yes. This just made my day and many days to come.
  13. YES YES YES YES YES YES YES.
  14. Could have signed Kirby Yates instead and saved 2 million or more.. Bad move.
  15. Sorry but count me unimpressed.
  16. Nice article Cody. I like Cruz for 2 years, Odorizzi for 3 years and Simmons for DEFENSE ( which will help our pitching) for 1 year. Hopefully the powers that be will then give SS to the # 1 draft pick and let him learn and sink or swim with Lewis.
  17. So would former Twins Nick Anderson and Liam Hendriks, co- MLB relievers of the year. But I would rather have Cruz the next 2 years and Odorizzi the next 3 years..
  18. I think most of us agree that the Twins need a SS. I want one who is a really good defensive SS. There is enough hitting to make up for any lack of offense at SS. I would rather have Simmons for 3 years and keep our prospects, than Baez for1 year. and trade away one or several of our top 20 prospects, one or more of whom will become solid ML players in a year or two.
  19. Bring up Lewis and use him as the super utility guy to take advantage of his many defensive talents and to give him the needed major league experience now, rather than later.
  20. My first reaction to reading Lynn had been traded to the White Sox, was one of elation.
  21. I have never met Mr. Lynn, but based on what interviews I saw with him, I wonder what effect, if any, he had in the clubhouse?
