  1. I couldn't agree more. Thanks Cody for a fun article.
  2. Major League Baseball has set new records for most strikeouts each of the last 12 years . This has a lot to do with why the Twins pitchers are striking more batters out now. Most teams' pitchers are striking out more batters year after year. . The game has changed dramatically. I realize the point of the article is that the Twins are at the forefront of this change. In order to prove this point, how do the Twins' pitchers rank with the rest of the teams in each of the last 15 years as far as total number of strikeouts by Twins' pitchers per season? Has the Twins' SO ranking increased steadily?
  3. Thanks for warning me against reading anything by Barry Daniel, real or fictional.
  4. I agree. Good thought process in this article.
  5. I agree 100%. A man is only as good as his word. I admit I only know what I have read, but I didn't fall off a turnip truck riding into town this morning.
  6. I have been a Jake Reed fan ever since his first year. The citizens at Rochester love him. He has been involved in many community activities. I surely am pulling for him to make it to the majors this year. He is what is good and right about sports figures being looked up to, especially by kids. I would enjoy meeting him at spring training in a few weeks to thank him for the example he sets for the rest of us, young and old..
  7. Interesting discussion topic, article and posts. Thanks.
  8. Pass. Pass. The Twins don't need any more strong women, good looking men and above average children. They need a warrior . an ace pitcher.
  9. John Altobelli, who also died in the crash was the uncle of Bo Altobelli, who was drafted by the Twins, I think it was in 2012, Bo played for Elizabethton and Cedar Rapids for 2-3 years. Bo's cousin and aunt also died in the crash.
  10. Timely article. I hope the Twins give him more opportunities to succeed. Thanks Nick..
  11. I live in North Carolina and TD is my primary source. If TD doesn't have it posted, it hasn't happened yet.
  12. Outstanding. A big salute to all who helped.
  13. Enjoyable article. Thanks. Suddenly I'm hungry. Excuse me while I go into my kitchen for some leftovers..
  14. Put Josh Donaldson at SS and Sano back at 3B, leave Arraez at 2B and put Gonzo at 1B. That is about what we had last year for IF defense and frankly, at IF offense too. Or leave Sano at 1B and put Gonzo at 3B.
  15. One of my favorite articles of the entire off season. Thanks Nick.
  16. Nicely written article. Thank you Cody.
  17. Great article SD. Thanks.
  18. I feel the Twins can trade now for a high impact starter who will be available for the playoffs, without depleting the farm system. The Twins can also do the same thing just before the trade deadline, whenever that is. I'm sure the Twins FO has already identified potential "Aces" who are on teams which will not be contending this year. And hopefully the FO is already exploring possible trades with an eye toward obtaining that Ace which we all agree will increase the Twins' chances of advancement in the playoffs this fall. By the way, after 7 straight years of playoff experience with no championship to show for the high payroll Dodgers, the Dodger fans are saying some desperate things on their posts. And just look at the Dodgers' current pitching staff. Attitude is critical. The Twins need to go ahead and size the players' ring fingers for their World Series rings and make that their goal...not just reaching the playoffs.
  19. Rhetorical questions as headlines stimulate discussion. Nicely done Seth.
  20. Outstanding post Doc. Outstanding.
