  1. Speaking of families, Mrs. IT and I were on a drive and got in a bit of a tiff. We passed some donkeys in the field, and I not too kindly said, "Relatives of yours?" She said, "Yeah. In-laws."
  2. And funny. The broadcast booth awaits if he has any interest.
  3. I assume your kettle is black?
  4. I mean, I could have called a moving service, but the last time I did, they sent sheep. That's the last time I call Ewe Haul.
  5. If the delay is long enough to end the starts, advantage Twins. Williams is looking sharp -- I'd be glad to see him lifted.
  6. I just discovered the problem. It was actually because of my pet termite, Clint. Clint eats wood.
  7. I spent the morning reorganizing some of my books, until the bookcase collapsed and fell on me. I have only my shelf to blame.
  8. "Light rain falling." It dumped pretty good for a little while in northern Indiana this morning. If it's the same stuff, we'll have a reasonably short delay. Decision to call up Varland could be prescient.
  9. Okay, those were two great catches.
  10. Julien, Gold Glove candidate.
  11. Maybe they'll be used in relief if the Twins get to Williams early.
  12. I'm on staycation. Join me on the Game Thread. Besides, your boss knows you're a Twins fan anyway. If you've got a good boss, she or he is a Twins fan as well.
  13. The top (bottom) three guys are two players who've been hurt all season and a catcher, followed by two guys who aren't expected to help the team in this category. What a surprise. Much more interesting to me would to be hear who has helped the team with their baserunning.
  14. Correct. The three teams have 11 games amongst themselves, so that's 11 guaranteed wins for some team. Houston vs. Texas = 1 (today) Texas vs. Seattle = 7 Seattle vs. Houston = 3
  15. Wasn’t able to follow along live, but can tonight’s Rocco/Gray interaction also put to bed the “Gray wants outta here” chatter?
  16. With a day game tomorrow, followed by an off day, Jeffers is going to get two of three in the series. Might as well make it the first and third.
  17. I'd settle for one more than Cleveland. (But 15-0 would be more fun.)
  18. Also, just stumbled across the tidbit that last Wednesday was the 5,000th loss in Twins history.
  19. Three guys with 5 home runs, three guys with 11. Nothing noteworthy about that, just interesting at this point in the season.
  20. May 2018, I was on a work trip in Iowa and made the jaunt to Clinton to see the Kernels. Box score says there were 1,125 fans, but I'm not buying it. I'd guess 700, tops, and I got a seat immediately behind the Kernels dugout. My memory from the night is that all the Kernels were considerate enough to the bat boys, including to the bat boy who appeared to be mildly affected by Down Syndrome. Except Lewis. He went out of his way to ask each bat boy his name, engaged them in genuine conversation and greeted them by name the next time he came up. Total class.
