    If you could actually teach some of these players how to properly bunt it would be great. Imagine how scary it would be if Buxton was a left handed hitter and knew how to bunt?

    Please save this for when the regular season starts. Spring training is just to get work in for most pitchers. Maybe they are working on a certain pitch and not pitching like they would in the regular season.

    Without universal DH Cruz has maybe 3 landing spots. Minnesota, Chicago, and possibly Texas. There also is Marcell Ozuna who most likely fits in as another candidate as a DH with maybe 3 teams looking for help at DH. No reason to cave in and overspend for either player. If anything let Chicago have whoever they want and sign the other for less. Basically what happened with the SS situation.

    He was DFA 4 times. He must have found the right pitching coach that finally unlocked his full potential.

    The dumbest thing the Twins could do would be to make a trade for anyone they can only control for one season. Foolish to give up prospects for a rental. I also can't see the Twins signing any of these shortstops long term anyways. One reason is hoping Royce Lewis would be ready soon and the other the can't afford to give a massive deal to them either. No chance they would spend $250M+ for 8 years.

    I think the Saints were doing quite well on their own. To me it wouldn't make sense for them to put up $20M

    So who came up with the $20 million for the franchise fee? Hopefully the Twins covered it 100%.

    Bauer is an ace on a team with a SOLID rotation. Berrios is a #3 starter on a team with a solid rotation. Sorry, Berrios is good just not an ace. He sadly seems to start hot and runs out of gas during the season.

    Best solution to the utility position would be to move Polanco to it. Find a solid defensive shortstop and you would be amazed how much better the team would be by making such a simple move.

    Polanco would have been a non tender without a doubt. There's a reason why the Twins are looking at SS on the free agent market. Polanco will turn into a utility player. There is no reason to have a poor defensive SS if you can take advantage of the current market and improve the team defense.

    I know he wasn't a non tender player but wouldn't have Brad Hand been a much greater option to close than bringing back Rogers?

    I would be careful trading for stars from Tampa. They seem to know the perfect time to trade them.

    People can disagree all they want with my thoughts. In my opinion if everyone was available that were active for more than half of last season only Kepler & Garver would bring back a premium as position players. As for the pitchers, Berrios, Maeda, Pineda, and possibly Duffy and Rogers would bring back a premium in a trade.

    Trade Taylor Rogers and bring in Brad Hand on a 2 year $15M.

    With the way the market for FA's this winter will be dramatically lower than most expect I cannot see Odorizzi commanding over $10M and no possible way he reaches the low teens. It's going to be a classic year of 1 year deals all over unless a guy is a complete stud.

    Is there an actual market for Sano? Any trade would not be favorable for the Twins. Even if NL keeps the DH teams shouldn't overpay for a 1 dimensional player.
