    The AAA guys are mostly struggling in AAA. Roden looked ready before he injured his shoulder. Rodriguez is hitting for power and drawing walks but batting .239 while striking out 1/3 of the time. Everyone else is a mediocre AAA batter.

    Just how bad do you want the defense to be? I think that would be worse than Bell.

    “Matt Wallner, James Outman, Keaschall, and Kody Clemens have all produced negative WAR so far.“ I always expected Outman and Clemens to produce little if anything. Keaschall’s deep slump is surprising.

    The Twins are actually 22nd in bullpen ERA, which is a little inflated by their bad defense.

    You wouldn’t. You would play him a lot and play Wallner a lot less often. The starters would be Martin, Buxton and Rodriguez with Larnach and Wallner splitting time at DH. Wallner can take the Outman role of striking out half the time and rarely playing.

    Kendry Rojas looked pretty good. Not sure why they sent him back.

    SS gets more ground ball chances than 1B so range absolutely matters more at SS. If the Twins front office is so damn smart about first base defense, explain to me why they signed Josh Bell.

    MLB teams are averaging 8.5 strikeouts per game. 7 strikeouts per game would be good for #2 in all of baseball. What is the big deal with 8 strikeouts? That is a mundane, expected outcome.

    I want a better bat for 1B. Lee is probably most valuable as a utility guy on the bench. His switch hitting potentially lets him platoon with every infielder.

    Julien is hitting okay for the Rockies but his defense is still bad.

    Everybody seems to be focused on bats. The Twins are tied for 7th in MLB in run scoring. They are in the middle of the pack in K and K/BB. Fangraphs has them 8th in pitching WAR. They’re 29th in defense.

    I don’t understand the point of these articles. They just seem to add clutter.

    Definitely don’t move him back to the rotation. He has never had the stamina needed to be a starter. Keep him in relief and see how it goes.
